Dandadan has pretty much every genre. It's basically a character driven story instead of being plot driven. The main focus is the romance between Okarun and Momo. But lots of things happen as they keep searching for his family jewels which Turbo Granny basically turned into dangerous and powerful magical artifacts. The story can be funny, horrifying and tragic depending on the situation happening.
Discussion was very good, shoutout to Matts friend, such an out of pocket story time it matches the show perfectly haha, im glad yall enjoyed it this arc in the manga is when i thought to myself that dandadan is not just good, but beyond that, and the anime reflected that beautifully, next week will be interesting as well!
lol I'm glad the story was appreciated. This episode definitely elevated the show for me as well! I'm stoked to see more and wanna check out the manga for what has been shown so far - Matt
@@MattxWillow There is real value to reading the manga even after watching the anime. It is done incredibly well. Even though the story is the same, the execution has differences because of the medium difference. Not to mention it is one of the most beautiful mangas I've ever read. Right alongside Berserk and Vagabond. The man puts out painting level art EVERY WEEK. He also does it all physically not on digital. DanDaDan also has the most number of double page spreads I've ever seen in a manga. Usually you would get one once every 3-4 chapters. Tatsu puts atleast one every chapter (which is every week). Sometimes upto 3-4 in a single chapter. The man is insane. The manga is really good, if you have time you should check it out. If you don't want to spoil yourself for s2 you can just read upto where the anime has adapted. In fact I would love to see you compare the manga and the anime and give your thoughts.
@@adityaflashraj I've only seen a tiny bit of the manga but that sounds awesome, putting out physically at the same time is really cool too. I absolutely want to read up to the end of this season probably once it finishes airing. Doing a discussion/comparison video between the two is a cool idea I hadn't really thought of. We have talked about doing like short podcast style discussion videos at the end of shows/seasons and we could try and fit it into something like that. Right now just finding the time to record more is the tricky part - Matt

That dancing scene was her on top of a building jumping off.
Ah interesting, I noticed the city lights and stuff in the background but didn't realize it was on a building - Matt
@@MattxWillow you should take a look at the manga panels. The anime made it much more cinematic but that also means it's less clear.
@@adityaflashraj Oh dope, I'll check it out. I was wondering how this episode would be in the manga, I always enjoy seeing the differences - Matt
