I honestly loved this video. I will look into the website and hopefully I can find what I need. I drive a mid engine car with a ton of coolant hoses that are now discontinued. Therefore, I always just buy something from the auto parts store that looks as close to mine as possible and make it work. This however, seems like the way to go now! Thank you!
This is just what i needed to see..... I'm not the only one who loves to fab up my rad hoses like this. My theory is; if you have to use a lot of hardware make sure your work is very neat. Love it! :^)
I like silicone. It sure would be nice though to have a product that could be bought in straight lengths and then bent to your specs. It is just that every join is a potential leak.
Dude....You are so full Of it!!!! lol....I need custom work for my 351w to the new drivers side outlet on the radiator....of course they don't match up...You saved me big time...Now i know what im gonna do....
In the refit industry, general antique cars like black, and traditional car refit cars like blue. Now in recent years they like red inside and black outside. The colors can be customized according to customers.
@@aaronmatuszny8856 that's exactly it.....esp. the lower radiator hose like in my situation..I'll stick with black on the bottom, maybe go blue on top..
OMG there is hope for me , I have been trying so hard to get a water hose for my Mazda mx3 1998 .. it’s like only the size of 2feet,, I’ll keep looking but if nothing comes up .this video will be on my list 100% so cool
@@D3Sshooter Our factory can add the metal wire to the inside of the silicone tube to enhance the negative pressure strength of the silicone hose. At the same time, the wire will not be exposed on the inner and outer surfaces. This is our company's invention patent in 1991.
I think you got it going on with what you are talking about. Bought rubber radiator hoses for my particular model, and they didn't fit. Looking for solutions. Yours sounds like a good one. Thanks!
Hi you could take a look at Sil-Poxy or Sil-Key which are silicone bonding agents these might allow you to use less hose clamps at the intermediate joins.. Thank for the link to the website for the tubing... 👍🏻
@canuckguy worried , they are very good however when looking at it , one might get the impression that its a mickey mouse job just because of the spanners
I will have a look and see how that might work , a combination of the coupler and that product you mentioned... It would have to bond aluminium and silicone, so i assume we will need a primer to do so. Good tip , thnaks
thanks for posting. I woulld like to use them on my Porsche Targa1984 as heater hoses for a modified exhaust manifold. Do you know how much heat the silicone can handle?
Indeed, this hose is already a lot lower then the original , but I need to be able to get distributor cap off... I refill the cooling liquid always under vacuum, and seems to work very well
@@D3Sshooter I think claymore2k1 may have been looking for the same thing that I am. And that's how to wrap and bake your own hoses. It may not be a DIY job. Came here expecting a how-to-mold-your-own hoses. Mildly disappointed.
Did you find a good one ?
Right? 🤦
Same. If you need avideo to know how to join hoses with hose clamps maybe you shouldn't be working on machinery in general.
Same
Thanks, appreciate your help on this. Your video saves us viewers lots of time and $
Only thing your full of is great ideas, thanks man!

@@j-tuck1752 bro I’m glad I’m not the only one with this sentiment 🤧😂😂
Looks like a great solution to me - I have never understood why standard hoses are black, the blue looks so much better !
Thank you

Any color other than black can get smudged with grease & oil and is nigh impossible to clean off of silicone.

Thank you for your video im building a 88 ranger and they offer no custom reinforced hoses for it so its time to fab my own

Where is the rusty french truck?
I enjoyed your metal panel making...
Its awaiting full time attendance, I had to clear-up a few small projects first. Soon Rusty is back... big time
Thanks for waiting

Great Video you did a good job explaining everything. thanks
Upgrade those hose clamps too
Thanks for the comments
What would you suggest to upgrade them too? I’d like to upgrade mine aswell, been looking for all the insight i can get.

Looks like a good custom alternative my friend. How long does the silicon hose last as apposed to the normal rubber hose?
Thank you for the comments, so far I have them 4 years on a car and no issues so far
can you please link part 1???
Can bolt clamps be used?
Look at Gates heat shrink clamps for a cleaner look.
thanks for the comments and tip
I don’t see a link for buying the hoses
I need to order those products .
Geen problemen met de keuring in Belgie?
Nee , dat was geen probleem omdat dit niet wordt nagekeken
how about adding copper tubing heat exchanger for heat in the back of a camper.
Thanks for the comments
Change to Constant Tension Clamp, the worm screw ones wil leak
How do I order from you?
hi can you tell me an silicone repair glue , it is for connect a a hose into another
sorry, I have used TEC7 that seems to work but not perfect
Does anyone know where I could buy the lines and hardware
What brand/type hose clamps are those?
Hi. Can i use stainless steel instead of silicone based for cooling hose? Thanks
just be careful that you don't have a high spot in that tube. Should have a bleeding valve on the highest point, could be an air-trap ?

Sir can i use this hose as turbo hose
Can give me link of part 1?
Are you from Germany?
I know less. Thanks from hamden,ct. Have 2006 subie looming to replace the eom hoses with silicone hoses.not much to choose from. Samco, mishimoto
Glad to help
What happening with ol rusty these days been watching for any new vids on the truck.

Hey man I’d love for you to make me a set !
hahaha
each joint increases the leak probability, you want that probability as low as possible.
20cm pipe is 20 EUROS. Prices are VERY reasonable.
It would be cheaper to make the whole piping out of aluminium
Gracias ok
Thanks
Okay can you turn on the car and see if your silicone id.not leaking
Yes , I did ...even with a pressure test.

Have you worked on the engine of the (Renault?) delivery truck (6-wheel model)?
