Interesting situation though I can’t help but think that Williams is getting treated very poorly and the players are really meta gaming around him. Player seems to be playing him straight and showing actual compassion for others while being called stupid and a traitor constantly. I know they are ostensibly doing this in character but it would grate pretty hard on me as a player to constantly be mistrusted without cause even if I was going to betray later on when I hadn’t done anything in character to warrant that. Knowing the Alien franchise like the players seem too, it would be a red flag for one to run off un armed in this ship. Hopefully there is a story reason but I would be concerned the player was trying to get himself killed quickly.
That’s a little strange. Davis, the pilot 👩✈️, has no points in ComTech? Pilots’ key skills are Piloting, Ranged Combat, and ComTech. Ostensibly, if one were making a Pilot character from scratch, one could put up to 3 points apiece into the aforementioned skills and 1 point in one of the other 9 skills (I’d go for Mobility as it’s the only other Agility based skill). Now, I could understand that a civilian Pilot PC might not have as many points in RC, but ComTech is the 2nd most important skill for the Pilot.
I agree with you-thought that was a little odd too. It caught me off guard when he said he had no comtech skill. But we did use pre-gen characters from the published scenario
