    hey mama! here are a few tips from a fellow curly head with long dry hair since i see you're struggling with a little frizz:
    1. if your hair is frizzy when it's still wet, it usually means it's not wet enough. try re-wetting the sections, especially the ends which tend to be the driest!
    2. i find that using a cream leave-in conditioner works sooo much better for my dry hair than a spray one (i actually used the one you have in the video but it unfortunately just didn't moisturize my hair nearly enough, thus making it frizzy).
    3. recently i've found that taking bigger sections of hair through my denman brush works so well! and it creates a lot more tension which makes the curls form juicy clumps
    4. if all else fails, just use more gel or mousse LOL
    both of you have gorgeous hair :)

    • @nathaliarleite
      @nathaliarleite 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      A trim could also help with stringy ends!

    • @tuttyfat
      @tuttyfat 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@nathaliarleite that is EXACTLY what the problem is. Her daughters hair looks so much better because it's so much HEALTHIER. The moms hair doesn't look like it's ever been trimmed.
      Edit: She needs about 12" cut off. The health and appearance will look amazing!

    This was interesting! One of my brothers, my father and one of my sisters had curly hair, so they were always doing things to make it look better. I envied my sisters hair, BUT was glad I didn't have to do ALL the maintenance she had to do!

    Apply gel with praying hands FIRST after using Denman Brush then scrunch several times CAREFULLY. That will help keep your curl clumps together initially before you scrunch. THEN use your microfiber towel to scrunch carefully (bottom up) before diffusing and apply oil as last step for extra moisture. This really helps me with initial frizz on first day. 😀

    One of the steps that is important which is applying a light layer of any oil of your choice right off when you take your hair out of the t-shirt. It works just like the gel but it's better for the drier hair. +I've heard that the mousse is one of the reasons that creates a dryer look even when the hair is fully deep conditioned. All in all both of your hair look amaaaazzing

    Hey mama I have some tips for less frizzy more clumpy and not stringy hair. Do the ribbon method. Make a hand and brush sandwich and make clumps! And make sure to style with wet hair and not damp (if you want clumpy hair)

  • @kkayherrington1655
    @kkayherrington1655 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    A way to help with the frizz is when you are done with adding the products take your Denman brush and take a curl and brush through it with the handle up then when you get to the end twist the hair up the handle kinda like with a curling iron and the gently untwist it qnd it helps clump the curls and be less frizzy

    to reduce the frizz you should try applying the gel to your hair by running it through with your hands then by using the Denman brush

  • @gionnadeyarmin6054

    Being a person who's hair is getting curlier by the day compared to when I was a kid thinking I had straight hair I can say with confidence that your other daughter has wavy hair it has just been trained to dry straight. I recommend to her to start brushing her hair like you did in the video and scrunching it. It will take a while to start to see a difference but if she wanted to she could "benefit" (even though her strait hair is beautiful) from training her hair to be in it's natural state.

  • @DrGoldieMD

    Both of you have beautiful hair and it turned out really nice. If you use a protein treatment you should also follow it up with a moisturizing deep conditioner, otherwise it will make your hair dry. I noticed that with my own hair and since I started doing this, it’s helped a lot with dryness.

    I have very curly hair too. I usually wash my hair with Herbal Essences Curl Shampoo then rinse. After that I use Herbal Essences Curl Conditioner. They both leave my hair smelling amazing. After my shower I dry with a microfiber towel. Then I brush through my hair with a wide tooth comb. 90% of the time I let my hair dry naturally. If I'm going into work I will twist it up in a claw clip. I only wash about every three days or so.

    This is the video that got me starting to watch your families blog. I also have curly hair but I also color my hair. I could literally watch these kind of videos all day to learn the process. Your doing a fantastic job and so does Jirah. It's a good shampoo your using also. I tried the Blueberry Bliss Gel after watching your video and I do like it. I also like the Kinky Curly Custard and I'm trying the TreLuxe products. I think Jirah is blessed to have such a young mom and you both can share the curly hair journey. I love your family and I'm super happy for your expecting your 6th child. I'm the youngest of 7. It's also wonderful the way Jirah cooks and I love the cooking and baking shows. God Bless with love from Seattle

      @stuo9301 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TheMooreTheMerrier It was great, it was a lot of fun watching it.
      I only have one note, if you were brushing your hair and you feel it is like a elastic, that means your hair needs strength (protein). Also, if your hair breks easily while brushing it, that means your hair doesn’t need protein, it needs moisturizing products.
      If your hair needs protein, don’t cut the moisturizing products (The one that doesn’t have any protein ingredient), but if your hair needs moisturizing products, cut the protein products until your hair is great, then you can balance between the protein and the moisturizing products.
      I think you are using too mush protein in your hair.
      Fixing your hair when it has so mush protien in (needs only moisturizing products) is a lot hadrer when it has so much moisturizing products( needs protien products)
      You can search for your hair porosity type (high, low, normal) to enshure how much protien your hair needs.
      Even if your hair is high porosity, I think you are adding so much protein if you are using all these products daily.
      I hope I helped you.

    Holy smokes that is a lot of work! But the result looks stunning on both on you. I always wished for curly hair because it looks amazing but I am reconsidering my wishes haha my hair routine is about 1/10th of yours 😂

    Gorgeous ladies :)
    Do you still use hair oils? Also, my hair is dry (I also use Shea). I see comments about too much protein. Maybe some of your fans can advise, what should I use?

    I have curly hair! But no clue how to manage it I straighten it all the time ofc I use good heat protector and shampoo and conditioner by unite to keep it healthy. If I want to wear my hair curly should I try the products you use?

    Its so nice seeing the type of relationship you have with your daughter. I’m 29 and my daughter is 9, and it seems and feels as if we just don’t click 😓 how I wish we could bond , even over hair.
