Dustin Bates of my favorite band, Starset, is the same way. I’m always surprised by how his speaking voice compares to his singing voice. I find a lot of parallels between Dustin and Alex, now that I think of it. From this, to my loving them both for their writing abilities, to neither of them being able to dance but doing it anyway onstage and making me smile by having a grand ol’ good time, haha.
