The information begins at the beginning. Its important to know about your equipment and to get advice on what equipment to use.

Actually if this was a Derwent Commercial I would have been paid for it and I wasn't. These are the materials that I use in my professional gallery-selling artworks and absolutely love. I have done my research and experimented with many brands and this is the brand I prefer to use. There are many other brands that I am sure will do a similar job but this is what I use. My students are always asking for specific brands and recommendations from me, hence the reason for the introduction to the materials I use. Cheers!

Thank you so much. Do you prefer blending stumps or brushes when drawing hypereallistically

Suggest you split this video into : My drawing Equipment and Shading technique . Shorter videos get more engagement. I love your srudio set up :)

see the video at 7:55 basically do your best to sharpen your pencil so that you have as much graphite revealed as possible.

@ at about 11:55 yes it is a bit far away, but if you do the pencil prep and have a look you will see it yourself...the tip shaved on an angle creates an ellipse shape because the graphite inside is a round cylinder shape. My book 6 pencil techniques on Amazon might help you with the three different ways to create a shaded area; soft edges, hard edges and gradations...if you're interested. drawpj.com/6-pencil-techniques/
