I would not remove the tree support that is between the sink and the bed. It is a structural support for the roof, especially needed with the weight of the AC unit on the roof. You could check with Scamp, but I'm certain that they'll advise against removing that support.
Thanks, I'm going to go ahead and put it back up. I'll contact them even if it's a long shot just because I'd rather have that area clear, but I expect they probably will advise against removal.
I just signed in to put the same info! 😂 Also, you could replace it with the old-school type, which would open up the view. Sell the tree online, lots of people want to replace their old one with the new tree support. ❤
I was going to write the same thing, but someone beat me to it. Also the cabinet hinges might come lose later because the cabinets are just thin fiberglass. If that happens, just put some backing board behind the hinges.
Outdoor Shower is cool.. In the Marines we would often Wash Laundry with a Outdoor Shower fixture / Water Hose .. Wet your clothes - Rub Soap in garments - Rinse - Hang Air Dry :)
Great tour! Thank you. Ah, but I’m not a fan of those bulky, loud roof top air conditioners. I’m thinking I would install a mini-split ductless air conditioner/heater. I would mount the outside unit on the tongue. What do you think?
Great walkthrough, just a question that I can’t get answered from Scamp. What is the clearance from the ground to the bottom of the grey tank disposal valve which seems to be the lowest point of the trailer? I would love to get that information.
Hello. Thank you. That was quite informative. I subbed your channel a few months ago and I think I have watched and saved all of your vids. I put in an order for a new layout 1 on September 14, and they tell me it will be ready next November 2024. I've been camping with a teardrop the last four years, I'm ready for an upgrade. Watching your (and others) videos helps me decide on how I want to fit out mine when ready. I hope you don't mind me asking a question now and again in the not-too-distant future. Cheers.
That is awesome! The wait is long, but in the end actually goes pretty fast. Sounds like the wait time is down a few months so that is cool. Feel free to ask anything any time. Take care!
Hello,I see you just ordered a new Scamp. I just got my 2023 13ft layout 1 delivered on October 20th after waiting 15 months. Let me tell you about Scamps customer service it is HORRIBLE!!! My scamp got delivered completely filthy inside and out. It is missing a light cover. Over spray everywhere. Tv doesn’t work the backup camera can be used as security camera they don’t tell you. I bought a privacy room for the awning, I can’t use it because of how far off the roof they install the awning. I have complained for 8 days now and their solution is $250. I tried to tell them they should offer people choices and the just blow me off. I paid $2500 for delivery so I think they just don’t care. I told them I will let everyone know how bad the customer service is. I spoke to 3 different people and they are all nice but just don’t care once they get paid.
Great looking camper, in and out! Cool that you have tankless. One think I may have missed: Is there a floor mount in front of bench seat so you can use a pole mounted table top there? One small thing I like: The visible volt meter. Nice tour! Thanks. Tommy
Hi Tommy! We love the new camper, it is awesome. Tankless is a nice feature for sure, the visible volt meter as well. There is a not a mount for a pole mounted table. My plan is to carry one of those lightweight metal TV trays.
Yall hit the road in the new rv? We too have a new to us Roo19. Waiting for the glimpse of the new camper. We are up the road in Fredericksburg We do some videoing also. Marshal PCWabash, little of everything
Hi. Thanks for your video. We are getting ready to order 13 ft. May I askI told the salesman how I saw on your video that you removed the metal tree piece to make it feel more open. He said “ that is a support for the cabinet and therefore a support for that part of the frame. He would definitely loose any warranty if that is removed and has any cabinet damage, so please don’t remove it” when I buy one. I think you should correct this to your followers please. People should be told you did this even thought it should not be removed. Thanks
Thanks for the tour. I was wondering about the heater, is it quiet (or have the option to run quiet with different fan speeds) and does it do a good job of regulating heat based on thermostat setting.
Love your scamping videos. Congratulations on your new Scamp. My scamp should be ready sometime in March. It was originally scheduled for May 2024 when I first ordered it back in last August. But the salesperson contacted me earlier this month and said they could produce mine as 2023 model with 2023 price. I don’t need the scamp so soon but cannot turn down the $3000+ saving so I took the offer. Now I am excited. I have a question: I had a casita before and I used a weight distribution hitch with sway control between my tow vehicle and casita. Do you use any anti-sway device? Do you have any sway issue? I am in Maryland. Looking forward to meet you at some campground some day.😊
@travelhawk7895. I spoke to the salesman for my order. You will void your warranty if you remove that “ metal tree piece”. It’s a support. I have asked the owner of this you tube to correct that
@@djkenny1202 I see what you mean now. We did cut a foam mattress for our old camper, but Dawn did that so I can't remember what size it started off as. We'll be doing the same on this one, I'll let you know how it works out and what size we trim down.
7 months ago and no videos since then...what happened? Really enjoyed your videos. Please come back.

Did you quit TH-cam? I was really enjoying your videos. Haven’t seen anything in a long time.
It’s sweet. Nice camper. Cool seeing a brand new one. Congratulations, thanks for sharing.

Hi!you made stunning !

Call scamp and ask for Wayne. He has all that info

Hey great vid, they tossed us the tankless hot water heater for no extra charge on ours that we are picking up in January. Stoked for that
Very happy to have the tankless! I know you must be pumped to pick up, I know that we were. Enjoy your trip, how far will you travel?

Does it have that new camper smell? Keep making videos you do a great job.
Yes, it does! Thank you for the feedback, I enjoy making the videos very much.
Try out spearhead trails in coeburn va. Nice little weekend getaway. Nice scamp

Hi, how is this holding up?
Do you have any leaks in the a/c? Gaps in the windows? Cabinet doors falling off?

What is the gray coloring around all outside connective areas of the Scamp?
Curious if a full size bed will cut a bit
I don't quite follow you. What do you mean if it will cut?
@@scampslikeusva1958 at the rounded corners. If ordering a full is about the right size.

Do you know if they use formaldehydes or OSB?
I have no idea
Kind of a bummer they put a fridge in that doesn’t utilize propane…
