    I love watching videos of caiques, they are absolutely hilarious,but I am not cut out for that level of energy. I know my limits. Lol

    I’m very fortunate. My flock of caiques do get along. They have established a pecking order but it is variable. Since they are little wack jobs they are often too much for most people. Mine are happy and naughty. They truly don’t stop. And, they get into everything. Maybe my husband and I are a little crazy but we adore our flock. I would strongly suggest having two of the same or one white bellied and one black headed. They truly complement each other.😀

    So sweet 😊. My greencheek is very hormonal at the moment, one of my greencheek's who was so sweet and never put any pressure when nibbling is now, puffing up, lunging and biting. 😢 the other greencheek hasn't changed at all.

      There both about 2 year's old. Only yesterday I stopped feeding fruit, and the results have been amazing. Overnight he's stopped the lunging and hissing. Looks to be back to his sweet little self 🥰

    I think Caiques are Keas for the handbag. They have the same attitude and curiosity, but not the strength to destruct your home in one afternoon. I love them, but descided they are not a good choice for first time parrot owners (so I went with Jardins *lol*).
    kisses back from my Jardins ;-)

      I’m happy that I got kisses back from your Jardins! Yes, Caiques can be a handful- Jardines are supposed to be wonderful!

    • @Ralfram
      @Ralfram 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@ParrotBliss Oh yes, they are wonderful :-) ... as long you are quick enough to keep them away from your glasses and your fitness watch. And they destroy all zippers they can find in seconds!
      It seems they are more agile than your capes, but a lot calmer than the caiques. I made the right choice, I think :-))
      Could Jardin's be the right companions for your hawkhead? With 250 to 320 grams, they match in size, and they are not too aggressive.

    Love your video education !! I wonder if having a Caique and a Quaker in separate cages, is that a good companion to them? (I mean.. I know it’s not good enough as having two play together in the same cage but just in case something bad happens when no humans are around )
    Thank you so much !

    hello everyone I need advice I have a female Caique 3 years old She became very attached to me I was on vacation for 3 weeks My sister took good care of her when I came back she ate a wing and was sad I decided and bought a male Caique She accepted him I put him in a cage during the day. My problem is during the night. What should I do? She has a wooden house inside the cage during the day she lets him in that house and they play, but in the evening he gets angry and screams and he is scared of her and I have to keep him in another cage. what to do, how to make them sleep together in one cage?

    I have a male and female Indian ringneck, thinking about getting a caique, would those be a good mix???

    • @ParrotBliss
      @ParrotBliss  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      great question! Do your IRN get along? I ask because hens can be aggressive and unfriendly-
      Caiques are awesome, but they are very social and they play, like kids doing a rough and tumble with each other. IRN aren't like this at all. They keep their distance and are a more independent species.
      Can you have them in the same home? If you have enough room for them to fly around without having to be too close together if they don't want to be- then yes. However, get 2 Caiques. They will be so much happier! They will have playmates when you aren't around and, if you spend time with them, they will adore you too!

    • @sky5oh
      @sky5oh ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ParrotBliss thank you for your response! I got my Female IRN back on June 7th she was hatched on March 28th. I got my Male IRN back on July 19th he was hatched in January. Currently I’m keeping them in separate cages, they show interest in each other however when I actually put her in his cage she’ll pester him until he gets irritated and then he’ll follow her around the cage lol. Still trying to get them calm around each other, my male is a goof my female is more mellow. It’s insane how different their personalities are. And with Caiques I absolutely love their personalities and I think they are beautiful birds which leads me to wanting one of them however just gotta do my research first

      Have you experienced a Caique? I’m exaggerating, mean no offense. Just trying to give an idea as to how ready to own the world Caiques are.
      They are wonderful, but also a challenging species. They do best with people who I can handle a force to be reckoned with- with a strong beak!
