Thanks a lot for the video Sir. Not only does this videos help us how to play gamakas but also understand why a certain note is sung or rendered in violin in each of the ragas I learnt so far. Like the minute difference in R2 in Mohana and Sri Ragam. Thanks a alot.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart to help explain Gamakams in detail. I had been hard time why we do things in certain ways. You explained very clearly on how we go doing things in aarohana vs avarohana. I totally loved the way you mentioned the circular motion, I honestly didnt get it any time in the past. You explained so easily the concept of Vibrato, bee buzzing, sliding. I was lost earlier on why we do certain ways of slides...go to SG and back to R etc, Thanks a ton for explaining many nuances . I watched these videos a lot of times, and it is incredibly helpful. One suggestion, I understand that for each ragam there are different ways to do gamakams, can you please explain how gamakams are played on individual ragas please.
Very well explained. Thank you so much. Could you please explain the sliding of the bow from 'S' string to 'P' string. Could you suggest any exercise for that. Thank you once again.
Such a clear explanation Sir I have seen many videos like this but you have taught so good that even a person who is a beginner will understand at once. Lots of respect to you sir 🙏👏👏
I am confused when to play plain notes and when to play gamakas...And not clear with which swaras gamakam need to be used for a particular raga..But got a better idea of gamakas after watching all the 3 videos..thank you ji :)
Gamakas... was a puzzle wrapped in a enigma it now. You have beautifully unwrapped it. I bow to you. What you have explained in so basic yet I understood it differently ... Now that have laid the basic of Gamaks, I would kindly request if you can show us all a few of simple Geethams using it. For a beginner it will be so helpful... Once again my humble pranams to you...
Deepak Raj E honored 😊🙏🏽. This proves music has no language, it’s universal. Am so glad it’s reaching so many and the 10% knowledge that I have in music is helping others . Plz share and spread the knowledge.
Hello Sir... I am watching your videos. They are really well composed and informative. I would suggest you make shorter videos. The kind of information you provide should get more views. The length of videos may be holding back many viewers. So please make shorter videos. A humble suggestion
Thank u Harish, will try and keep them short. I do edit them to a great extent but feel like the information gets lost. This is not even 10% of what I want to share and what one needs to know about Indian classical music, but had to edit a lot.
G2- sadharana gandharam or Komal gandhar usually gets the gamakam so you cannot do gamakam for m1. It would be plain. Except for Carnatic bhairavi where even ma gets a gamakam from g to pa and back to ma.
I followed all 3 partes improved playing. All egarly looking forward for varnams which are basics carnatic music.
Thank u sir
