What you can do is watch the contact of the ball on the racket, if tge contact the ball more under then you can expect underpin, and the same applies for sidespin and topspin
Hi, do you have an examples of adding to the spin serve rather than countering the spin by going against it? I have seen some players adding to a clockwise spin rather than turning the spin into anti-clockwise return but I cannot control it.

Có 1 vấn đề mà e quan sát thực tế, thắc mắc từ lâu là khi mình giao bóng con lắc thuận khi ngta trả giao bóng mình giật thuận tay sẽ dễ hơn giật trái, còn giao nghịch như clip trên khi ngta trả giao bóng giật trái lại dễ hơn giật phải, e cảm nhận do chiều xoáy của bóng. Trong thực tế đánh đôi cũng vậy, 1 ng thuận tay trái giao nghịch như clip trên thì khi dc trả giao bóng ng thuận tay phải sẽ dễ giật bóng thuận tay hoặc ngược lại (e đã kiểm tra nhiều lần). Những trường hợp này chưa có clip giải thích, hy vọng a sẽ làm chuyên sâu hơn về chủ đề này.
It's really so hard du differentiate if pure side spin, top side is or under side spin.. Do you have simple methods to judge it from the opponent racket? Sometimes or at most the difference ist very small to see in the very short time of contact. I have a huge problem with those serves. Same for pendulum of course. Thanks
Three tips to answer your question. Look intensely at the bounce of the ball. If its kicking up and towards you its topspin dominant . If it skidding and staying low its backspin dominant. If its stable but fizzing, its full of sidespin only. To win some extra time to get used it, you can also let the ball come very long and don't touch it until the last minute. Spin will be reduced by the ball as it travels . Bonus tip (more advanced) , try to add your own spin to counteract the incoming spin. Hope that helps.
@@jules-bz5vc if understand this correctly from the videos, it doesn't matter whether its a left or right side spin serve when returning as long as you hit side of the ball (in the return) , is this correct? this means either you are blocking the serve spin side or you are going with the direction of the incoming serve spin. so as long as you are actively spining the ball back sideways, you dont need to care about having the right angle for the incoming spin? May be you can help? thanks
In the examples from professional tt the receiving player nearly almost lost the rally after using this basic way of returning the reverse serve. Which is why I am looking forward to the more advanced solutions!

@@gab5012 I have one, and before i had also another but sold it, both from China and cheap, one is great, the other that i kept it not much good but normal, i might buy again but not in rush
@@TareqAstroPhoton yeah I guess you can't just patent a shape you cut wood into now that I think about it, I recently noticed many off brand blades with this shape especially on ali express🤣
@@gab5012 Yes, from Aliexpress, but i have a coach who can cut them at that shape just fine although difficult, but sounds i need to choose one that will suit me better, the one i sold is a copy of DHS Ma Long version and great, but it was a bit heavy mainly with rubbers so i sold it to someone overseas loved it, i might buy it again but this time i will put less weight rubbers on it then.

For me the easiest way to identify opponent serve, look for the arm swing (start to end), and aim the ball to the direction of the started arm

10:27 that doesn't look like the cybershape, I thought stiga patent it so other brands can't copy the shape but idk what that is
