    Great review! Good to find reviewers that aren’t all about specs and test charts! Also, the three photos of your dog with the dark clouds in the background looks so amazing!
    I got this lens and I love it a lot! The combination of the wide aperture, good light gathering, weather sealing and auto focus is kinda unique. At least in Fuji land, I think.

    • @wildandfreevictoria
      @wildandfreevictoria  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you so much! Yes specs and test charts bore the life out of me so I thought I would make it fun and from a user perspective! Thank you very much, my dog Erik makes the perfect little model as he is a very energetic adventure pal!
      So glad to hear you love this lens, it is very very lovely. And yes, the weather sealing does give that extra brownie points! Fuji land is the best land! keep shooting and have a lovely day 🙃🦄🤘🏻

    THIS is what I call a proper lens review, thank you for this video.
    The 50mm seems to be a gorgeous lens and by your results it is on par, maybe a bit sharper than my 56 but considering the AF speed being that I don't have any of the latest bodies I might be okay with it, I don't know.
    However I really love you B&W selfies and video clips, those are GORGEOUS!!! Ugh, the fall off is almost in medium format territory.
    Have a lovely weekend Victoria.

      Aww thank you! This is very much appreciated! I don't mess about when it comes to reviews haha! I will be doing a comparison video soon, but for me I will be sticking with the 56mm, it's my favourite lens! But keep an eye out for the comparison, it might help! Thank you, I had great fun getting those shots and pretending I was a woodland queen - my idea of a day haha! You have a lovely weekend as well, enjoy yourself and thanks again! :)

    Hi Victoria! Again beautiful video! Your videos are so moody and somewhat... nostalgic... Makes me miss places that I have never been to... and Scotland is my dream place definitely!:)
    And just a little tip for you - when you're slowing down your footage be aware of frames that you shoot on and frames of the composition, for example if your footage is 50fps and your composition is 25fps, than you can slow it down to 50%, but if your footage is also 25fps and you slow it down than it starts to get a little bit choppy, like in 8:50. Other than that it's a great video! Great lens, but soo costly... I'm going to stick with 56mm 1.2 for now:) But I am waiting for a comparison video 😀 And I see we don't have only the same camera and lens, but also a tripod 😂😂 Keep uploding with your super positive energy:) Have a great day Victoria!

    • @wildandfreevictoria
      @wildandfreevictoria  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you sooo much! I do love a moody vibe, I think it adds drama and heart! and fits in well with Scotland. Love that it gives you a sense of nostalgia too, definitely visit Scotland, you will love it!
      Thank you very much for this tip, I'll be honest, videoing isn't my strong point but I am still learning and this is super helpful, any more advice would be much appreciated! I know what you mean by the choppy bit too! I did have some problems with using the phone app and filming - I didn't realise (until I got home) the app doesn't let you record in slow motion, so I just slowed down some normal frame rate clips which isn't ideal and made them choppy!
      Yes I completely agree with you and I think you will appreciate the comparison! I will also be sticking with my 56mm, she is my favourite lens! Well you clearly have a grand taste in cameras, lenses and tripod, kudos to you 😁 Thank you so much again and please keep sharing your feedback and tips as it's super helpful! and thank you for taking the time to do this! Have an epic and super fun day! 🙃🤘🏻🦄

    Amazing content as always!!
    The f1.0 is definitely a beast and has had me interested in its performance over the 56mm f1.2 - but I wish it had the same LM Aufocus motors as the smaller f1.4 lenses. Hoping the next 56mm will be an R LM WR and I’ll definitely be closer to upgrading!

    Another great review!
    For me this lens is too big for street photography, too expensive and a bit too tight on the focus to be reliable.
    I’ve been using the 50 F2 for most of my street images. I’ve been studying the 33F 1.4 as the possible replacement for the 50 F2. The main reason is it will cover the wide aspect, so I don’t have to change a lense as often. And since it’s sharper and auto focus is faster than the 50 F2, I can use it both for wide and medium telephoto. I can always crop since the lens is so sharp.
    All that remains is getting the lens to see if my theory is correct.

    • @wildandfreevictoria
      @wildandfreevictoria  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you! I do agree, I wouldn't feel I'd get the most adaptable lens for street photography, I think the 33mm is a brilliant option or even a wider angled lens might work well, my 8-16mm has been great for documentary style shots. And yes, you don't want to have to keep changing a lens! I don't do a lot of street photography but I would be interested to hear what works well for you! hehe yes get the lens and let me know! You theory does make sense 🙃🤘🏻
