AFX DJing in California for ATP, at UCLA in Ackerman Grand Ballroom (ref.) on March 16, 2002. Curated by Sonic Youth (www.atpfestiva.... Apparently his first US appearance since 1997. According to Mixcloud notes theres some fancy recording work but what it's worth I do not know since it's a condenser mic recording from the crowd -

Not sure if this footage exists elsewhere but this was shot by a friend and given to me on VHS which I have had since 2002. I converted it by recording it to DV format from VHS-PC and then compressing to suitable h.264 mp4 format for consumption here. Enjoy

one of the best shows ive ever experienced. a teacher brought his hearing impaired class for this and merzbow who played before and they stood in front of the speakers. everyone dancing had their own way of interpreting what they were hearing. it was pretty amazing

I still have the original DV trasfer I did from the VHS (and the VHS tape). It sounds alot better than this. the rip is 15 gb though and I'm running on a laptop. Will get around to a better version
Pity TH-cam doesn't allow high quality sound. 128kbs mp3 for most videos and 192kbs for 720p videos (but not 1080p videos for some odd reason).

If I'm not mistaken its Acen from the late 90s (local SF label I think), but the records that comes in briefly after it, don't know. I have a 95% or better tracklist for this, it's somewhere in the comments
