It's in a frame. How would he show it without disassembling it?
@@JohnDoe-jf5mi Agree. I bought a different Canada 500 Dollar, 5 kilo silver coin and it's presented the exact same way. The wood frame is a sandwich. The front and back are attached to each other with bolts that look like they can be unscrewed from the Queen Elizabeth side with a hex key.. You can see them at 4:15 in the video. I have never felt the need to unscrew them.
Wondrous. If they were going to give it a monetary denomination though, you'd think they could for once have given it a half decent valuation, like 1,000 or even 10,000 dollars. Afterall, the kilo coins by the Royal Mint are £500
Face values for collector bullion are generally low to ensure that the coins serve as an investment first and foremost, rather than an ordinary coin. If a coins worth were to ever go below its bullion worth it would create a problem were the coins would be arbitraged. It doesn't even state the weight, purity or that it's silver on the coin.
It's a coin. A coin does not need to state that. A "round" which is made by a private mint needs to state the specs.
Surrounding Queen Elizabeith on the obverse of the coin, it says "Canada, 2019, 500 Dollars." Just like an old Morgan Silver Dollar--On the front it has the year and on back it says "United States Of America, One Dollar." That's all. The specifications of coins are published by the government mint and collectors or anyone else can look them up.
now if only you can slice it like a pizza.
Too bad it's Canadian.
