Great instruction video! What sort of metal stock did y'all use for these? I'm looking to make some turning tools and wanted to get some of these and also hollowing tools.
@@BobAmarant also, Sorby makes two sizes of texture tool. Bob is using the smaller size. I believe they are called “micro” size. About $18 each. Larger size much more expensive and has built in ballbearing center.
Metal guy here,,,,,,but,,,,,Long selves on the lathe verboden. especially floppy ones like that. No loose clothing or gloves around rotatating machinery be it metal or wood.

You can get 1/2” round stock at Home Depot, maybe even a 6” long bolt would work !🛠
