I saw the title of the video and knew I would hear 16 different pronunciations of "Tsarukyan"
i feel like he's doing it on purpose bcuz i heard him pronounce it right once. Has to be right??

I think this really did happen. Arman was very pissed about the split decision and he even tracked the judge down on social media and found out the judge was also Armenian he told Ariel he was going to message him. He also said he talked to the fan afterwards and the fan apologized and said he wasn’t going to sue him

Whether he agrees with a decision or not you can't press a judge about it..... he's gonna fuck around and get in some serious trouble. And he DID win, but a submission that almost ends a fight gets counted the same as almost stopping somebody on the feet. I didn't think he was really in trouble in the 3rd but he did go limp for a second for some reason, and it looked tight.... if a judge really thought he was close to being finished and gave Charles the round, it's not a bad argument. So he needs to just get over it. Don't get locked in a submission attempt and don't go limp like that. He needs to read the scoring criteria and realize how heavily a close submission is actually considered.....

The dirt sheets actually changed the story to "The judge called Armen" to get more clicks. In the interview with Ariel, Armen just says his coach ran into the judge, showed him he last submission attempt from a different angle and showing him he was not gasping for air or in trouble of being submitted. Then he claimed the judge told the coach he probably would have gave the round to Armen had he been sitting on the other side.
It’s not just non-American fighters, there’s Cody Dumbridge too (who just lost to Bo Nickal.)

This is a bit different, although I don't believe it was the right thing to do, apologizing. Both Arman and that judge are armenian. Armenians are known to be a close community, so when an armenian judge scores it for oliveira, it seems weird for armenians, because Arman believed it should have been an unanimous decision. I think the problem here was that UFC chose an armenian judge for this fight. It should've been someone else.
The judge was Armenian, and Arman's coach knew the judge personally, Arman called him and made him explain.

@@JanHayastanMusic it’s not being dumb on purpose, It’s a means of telling the fighters who Chael is actually looking out for/watching closely. On top of the fact that these guys with foreign last names are just generally hard to pronounce but if he messes up a fighters name it’s usually because he’s actually watching their fights and wants to see them succeed on the PR side of things as well. There’s obviously exceptions to this rule but this is what I’ve always gleamed from Chael messing up someone’s name intentionally.
