That was the first time I never saw a yellow hit the deck on a full day, but that’s fishing! If you don’t keep grinding, you may never get that 1 shot. Luckily we all worked together and gave it hell, and got rewarded in the end there!
Ray , you said it beautiful last day !! You make awesome content ,seriously have a talent to teach fishing skills and the heart to share!!👍 I’m a seasoned angler , love letting people know when they hype you hold “ Passion “for what to live for!! Love it my young brother Million Likes always and safe travels!! What time of the year do you book for at Cedros ?
Really appreciate all the kind words and positive feedback brotha, thank you so much! I love making these videos and documenting these memories to relive forever. We’ve been going middle of July for the last 3 years!
I've tried it a few times, and they do work well for easy switching and more action for the right jig. However, I like to feel the line on my thumb and know what the lure is doing, and I don't think I can feel that as much without straight tied to the ring. Perfect example in this video, is 3:40. I can feel the disturbance of water behind my jig because there is a fish on it, so I do a quick fast crank and trigger the reaction for the fish to commit.
@Dirty.Hookers thank you brother... You sold it for me... I remember fishing Cedros, "the bush" Benitos, Chester's Rock..all of those place but only on long range. I love the idea of experiencing Cedros via panga
I was using a Phenix Axis 909HJ paired with a Trinidad 20a, and a Phenix Axis 1009HJ paired with a Saltiga 35 SD for surface irons. And a Phenix Megalodon 607 for my bait said up because I left a yoyo/heavy bait rod behind on this trip. As far as I’ve been told, nothing has changed prostaff wise.
Usually the 2 Tady surface irons I fish in Cedros are Tady 45 and Tady stamen 112. this day, I believe I fished mostly the Steel Baits OG surface iron Murder Weapons Viper, and Tady 45
Sweet trip! I'm packed up to back again in Sept
Nice man! I’m heading back out there in July myself, can’t wait to get back out there!
Nice one Ray! Hey it's all about the grind. Fishing was slow for game fish but it was still a blast grinding it out. Can't wait to get back out there!

You use the jigs a bunch have you considered the quick clips? Change them jigs out quick without re-tie
I use quick clips quite often

@@DanielA-mp2sk staying on the islands is such a fun experience! It is getting pretty pricey these days, but still a well worth it experience
