I hear what you’re saying with glaze exhaustion. I experience this as well and thought I was the only one. Thx for confirmation other potter’s feel it too
I can listen to you talk about anything lmao. Even though you don’t like glazing itself, I’d LOVE a vid on the process of developing your own glazes! The various substances, the pigments, testing etc ❤
I second the request for a vid on the process of developing your own glazes. I'm a glaze geek who has never had a chance to get a formal glaze education. I glean all that I can online!
Thank you, what a great video. I'm still learning about glazing. Could you explain why you don't wax your pieces before glazing? Does it depend on the glaze?
Hi, Lilly! I like your videos and I leard always something. You are such a modest Person and direct our fiew of your great work. I am looking forward for your next Video! Thank you so much for sharing!
Yeah even better..I'm also NZ..love your honestly and through work..I'm 36years down as a potter..sculpture person..enjoy your casts..keep it coming..and I have a love hate with glazing also..
I use an app on the iPhone called clay lab I made 12 mugs and 12 bowls. I have some combos I like and right down what I want to put on them beforehand.
I enjoy Glazing because of the style of pieces I make are very wild so I get to throw a whole bunch of glaze around but the worst part is the cleaning up after words
I have to admit glazing is my least favourite part of making something with clay, I've been in classes and I've found there's not enough time for me to really get what I want done 😅
I do enjoy glaze, because I get to do a lot of drawing and painting. BUT it is in fact so stressful and time consuming. So I guess Im in the middle , kind of love hate relationship hahaha
I was always told the raw clay (not glazed) is not suitable for drinking or eating from, just seeing your mugs where your lip would usually go on the outside on the raw part, so I’m a little confused
I think I'm a psychopath, glazing day is a great day for me.... the difference is ... i sell zt mRkets, and mostly 1 off pieces, so I generally have no "sets" to contain my glazes to, each item stands alone, except swirlware that's only got clear on it, but you have to stick to your business framework and that makes perfect sense xxx

Have you tried the ceramic materials workshop glaze course? Expensive but really useful
I'm here for the hidden tracks at the end! 🖤
Thank you for this!!! I just finished a big glazing day and I need tips!

Even though I love glazing, this is a great tutorial for streamlining the process. Thank you!
Perfect timing. I just did a short on the mayhem of my post glaze marathon. It’s not pretty. I have such a love hate relationship with glazing.
Mystery glaze, mystery glaze!
I did a test of the studio mystery glaze and keep a litre for myself! It’s a beautiful moss green and where the coverage is heavy it’s blue!
You're a KIWI! Now I have another great reason to love you!

Hate glaze day. Love the video. And haha to TVNZ coming to film you. Wish I'd seen that.
I love the speckled effect on the white glaze. Can you say what clay you use to achieve this?
I currently only use brush on glazes but I'm super keen to change that as best as I can as it's so time consuming! Glazing is Def my least fave part!
I love making my own glazes. I have an air compressor and I bought a glaze fountain to help me with glazing. Because YES it’s a pain

Very cool stuff
Not a fan of glazing. Always shocked at how time consuming it is but loved these tips.

I'm waiting for an eye stalk to come peeking out of my mystery glaze bucket.
I’m a psychopath that loves glazing, but hates trimming.
I hate glazing!! But love throwing
its funny cause when I look at ceramics the first thing I admire is the glazes. BUT I HATE GLAZING AHHHH

I hate glazing too
