    To my mind it's a beautiful work of real art. Meaningful and moving, ambiguous and provoking . Thank you for taking us on the journey with you. I look forward to the next one.

    Despite Empyrean is a fantastic piece of art, indeed; having a nice conversation about the concept behind him is fascinating. fine touch bro.

    How to measure to get a best proportion

    • @EirikArnesenArt
      @EirikArnesenArt  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      There are several canons of proportion you can use. But I measure from the model I use.

    I cannot get over the last 20%. I sculpt out a form pretty quickly. But the last bit, the detailing....Ugh. I get distracted and start sculpting something else.

    • @EirikArnesenArt
      @EirikArnesenArt  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s tough to stay focused! The last 20% are also a lot less exciting, I like to leave parts like the arms, hands, and head towards the end so I have something exciting to look forward to when the detailing gets boring!

    i don't think you have to have a why. Ever. Wanting something is enough. Why do you want to be an artist? Because you just do, right?

    • @EirikArnesenArt
      @EirikArnesenArt  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Of course! But there are a lot of difficult aspects to being an artist. A why helps you get through those tough times.

      @@EirikArnesenArt Thank you for your answer. I think i know what you mean... strangely, maybe we both mean a similar thing. For me, this aha-moment of mine was what saved me once, in a profound way, at any rate i really like your work! Greetings.

    what kind of clay do you use for these big pieces?

    • @EirikArnesenArt
      @EirikArnesenArt  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Water-based clay. For larger pieces I use water-based clay, for smaller than 1/2 life-size pieces I'll use oil-based clay like Chavant NSP.
