- UNWIND WITH THE SWEETIES was a weekly Public Access Show seen in The Los Angeles Area in 1990-1991.
The Sweeties won an EMMY AWARD in 1991 in the category of Los Angeles Local Origination.
They were on exhibit at the LAGUNA ART MUSEUM as part of "The Media Pranksters Exhibit" in 1991.
This lovely assault of color, music, and whimsy is considered by many a "LOST MEDIA" gem.
Unwind with The Sweeties bumper stickers (given as gifts to newsletter subscribers) were seen on bumpers throughout the greater Los Angeles area throughout the 1990s.
Unwind with The Sweeties moments have re-emerged from the vault to delight a whole new generation of minds that enjoy alternative entertainment and mind expansion (or contraction).
For a public access show, the intro is pretty impressive.
It won a local award!

when i watch this, i always imagine my mind has been obliterated and mangled lobotomy-style by some unknown force and the only loose remnants of my memories would come together to form one cohesive display, one final show before the curtains close in this exact eery, yet familiar child-like falsehood that's both comforting and unaware of itself. unwinded with the sweeties as my sense of self escapes me.

@@Caughtintheinterweb years ago i went on the website and the wife made a post about some annoying things happening to her husband (don't remember what) and then she said "but at least that's not as bad as what happened to this guy!" And it showed a picture of a dismembered body. Head cut off, all limbs cut off and surrounded in blood. It was a very low quality picture and looked to be from the 80s or 90s.
