    Good quality videos as always. You dont know how many times you've saved me.
    A quick question, is there a way to nest running value inside of a running value?
    Eg:
    RunningValue(
    (runningvalue(a,sum,nothing)/ runningvalue(b,sum,nothing)),avg,nothing)

      Hi Nick! No, you can't nest RunningValue functions.

      @@WiseOwlTutorials How about a window period to calculate running total. Like the windowing function in SQL. Is it possible to do that with the running values here??

      You can use the StrConv function with the vbProperCase constant docs.microsoft.com/en-us/office/vba/language/reference/user-interface-help/strconv-function
      I hope it helps!

    I'd find it useful if you could use a running value to count the number of group rows your have

    • @WiseOwlTutorials
      @WiseOwlTutorials  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! Just checking, are you trying to find the number of rows inside a group? Or the number of groups in the table?

    • @gonzaloenrique8741

      @@WiseOwlTutorials I have a table with 2 groups. The child groups has a group variable which is a calculation (it takes a single value minus the sum of all fields in that group). I show these group variables in the group header and hide the detail rows. Now, I just need to take the total of all the group variables in that column and display it after the table or in the footer.
      I've Been running into report builders issue of you can't aggregate group variables and I've found no way around this yet without redesigning the whole report
