after hearing Donny & his band play on Bowie's final album BLACKSTAR? I just had to hear not only more of Donny's amazing sax playing but also drummer Mark Guiliana. I finally found FAST FUTURE a few days ago and I absolutely love this album! Too many tracks I loved but if I had to choose one? It would have to be LOVE IS MORTAL. The interaction between Donny McCaslin & Mark Guiliana is fantastic. I cannot leave out Jason Lindner & Tim Lefebvre too. Great work from great musicians! 😀
Also on a sidenote? Found MEHLIANA: TAMING THE DRAGON -BRAD MEHLDAU/MARK GUILANA! Holy Crap is Mark A fantastic drummer! Amazing. Because of David Bowie I just had to hear these amazing musicians. Shame on me not knowing who they were! But now I do and have very fast became huge fans of Donny & Mark!
