Remembered this song at 10 pm, Oct 11th 2024. Song way back in my secondary school. Searched and found it on TH-cam. Been smiling all through. I love JESUS. I pray we all understand our earthly trials are temporary. See you ON THE OTHER SIDE, fellow believers in Christ Jesus
I grew up a southern baptist in rural Georgia. This music takes me right back to Sunday mornings, lazy afternoons , and great food.
I have being singing this song about 9months now.

This is really an incredible number of talented singers in a single choir! Each of them is able to sing a great solo, but Bill Gaither use them to compile this magnificent ensemble. And they are not too much pride to be just a part of it. It's probably unique. All these old recordings are great!
I knew this was a song, because it's in the hymnal at my church, but I've never heard this song until today. It gave me hope. My brother is dying from cancer and I know I'll see him again, but it's still hard. Soon it'll get better. We'll be singing praises to God forever and we'll see our loved ones again. I don't listen to hymns often, it's usually Contemporary Christian, but when I do, this song and Farther Along reminds me of that.

I am so glad to see the singers I loved again, having lost them on TV after PTL went down. Thanks again to the Gaithers for Homecoming so we can see and hear our old friends again!
I guess no matter what you do in this life, evil has a way of creeping to try to dystroy your joy(ref. some of the comments) but one day God will separate this evil from among us, and we will experience true joy.

What a blessing to see the joy, hear the inspired singing, from these wonderful singers. I'm a bass, and I love that the basses have such a leading role. The arrangement is great. There is a pulsing energy which finds its outpouring in a climatic moment with the sopranos taking those top notes. But it's the absolute enjoyment on the faces of the singers that make you simply sing along. This is congregation singing at its best. And why shouldn't we rejoice in anticipation of what is in store when we meet our Savior?
