Rules seem great so far but I can't help but think you could streamline the amount of dice used. Going with a D10 system with modifiers could probably simulate the same odds you're going with, but wouldn't require players to buy so many different dice. Thanks for the video!

I am not prescriptive about how my rules systems are used. Lots of people like throwing lots of dice though. It's part of the excitement.
Since you would be firing one broadside at a time, a 50 gun ship would only fire 25, so 3 dice could be used instead of 5... For a 100 gun = 5 dice
