Yes mate :) but went back a few weeks ago and didn’t even have 1 follow :( going try it again soon so can smash it again :) biggest pike I seen is 17lb trout 5lb and chub over 6lb all taken in lure :)
Nice video bud! Fellow stokie here and a member of Fenton also! The churnet/cauldon Canal at consall forge is a cracking bit of water also, iv had a few perch over the 1lb mark, some small jack pike to around 3lb. Good video mate il keep my eyes on your Chanel
I have had 5 blanks in the canal by dolphin towards the overflow and back the other way, every time I have gone tho I have seen people have been there before with the litter being left are the lure packages, I need find some spots that have not seen as much pressure,
@@TomoWalker_fishing I had my pb perch from the bridge down from the overflow at 2lb on the nose, I think you will struggle to find a quiet part of the canal now mate, iv found the same, there are that many people fishing them now, iv begun my search to start tackling the rivers and lesser fished lakes, there are still good fish to be had on the canal, iv had my best days fishing for perch sat behind a float.
@@spyrothedragon3431 my sister had a 3lb perch on the nose out side dolphin a few years back, I would like try for the pike in black lake again but not on lures :) dead baiting I’m thinking
@@TomoWalker_fishing Defo some big perch in the canal, you just have to cover some serious water, iv never gone past the overflow to be honest, iv gone the other way through Trentham towards Wedgwood. Deadbaiting sounds like a good plan, I'm thinking about fishing a bit more static whilst after perch, maybe a feeder or float fished worm, instead of jigging and dropshotting
@@TomoWalker_fishing hi im not too familiar with stoke ive done a few cycling events there and been the football i usually go up the A34 to Stoke when i do go and i know the Trent kind of follows that Route would it be up that way by any chance and if so is it day ticket or what. It would be so good to try the smaller parts of the trent
@@fishgilman5854 I will be soon back on the rivers for some pike :) on a local pool today with my kids for the carp :) I have only had barble from pools never from a river, deffo need to try that
Watching this for historical reasons. Imagining the Vikings and Mercian Soldiers fighting it out, or the whelsh and Anglo Saxons meeting at Chester or the dawn valley again.
I can only imagine the treasures that lay untouched for thousands of years under maybe just a few inch of soil there, Such a beautiful place, also when I fish this part I see the king fisher often :)
@@TomoWalker_fishing yeah plenty of them. Average between 10 and 16lb. There’s rumours of a 30 but biggest I’ve seen is 27, biggest I’ve caught is 22. Everyone of them fight like crazy. It’s not that deep so when you hook them they can’t go down so they go out. Just rip line off on the first run. Catch most the fish under your feet.
Good effort in the rain too...the realities of fishing.
It was so cold and wet but happy I got one fish :)
Great video nice chub u had 👌🏻🐟🐟🐟
Thanks mate :) I only got a set of scales about 3 weeks ago so next time will be able see how big :)
@@TomoWalker_fishing looking forward to it tight lines 🎣🐟🐟🐟
Is this the FDAS stretch? nice when conditions are good

@@TomoWalker_fishing yes mate Stoke on Trent. Member at JCB so that’s my main water but fished most of the places you’ve done videos on.
Walked around the JCB pools and saw them spawn once and there seems to be some nice size fish in there!!
