      @@booptique6428 I've only just 'rediscovered' cardmaking and scrapbooking, after around 25 years!! Everything has changed so much that I feel like I'm in another universe 🙃
      Die cutters at home hadn't been thought of, and the only kind of embossing that I knew of was heat embossing!! I've only just got some of my 2K worth of stamps back, as they were 'lost' in my Mum's house somewhere!
      Is there a way of taking them off the wood blocks, as some of the padding between the stamp and the wood has disintegrated.....
      I have MS, which is what has brought me in a full circle (I was diagnosed 34 years ago though) as I needed to find something that I could still do 🙂

      @@cathismith2624 you can remove stamps from a wood block by microwaving it for a few seconds which will allow you to pull the stamp off the block carefully. I am not sure how your stamps would work , however, if the padding has disintegrated. Red rubber stamps are designed to have padding.

    How can I fill a new white ink pad with the ink provided?
    Thanks for your help - I'm an Aussie, so I can only soak up all of your information 😉🥰

    • @booptique6428
      @booptique6428  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Cathi, try to shake your white ink refill if possible (the ink is thick so it doesn’t “shake” well but you want it mixed if has been sitting for a while. Squeeze the ink out onto the while ink pad. I usually do “lines” of ink and then using the tip of the ink refill bottle, “blend” it into the ink pad. Because the ink is so thick, it won’t just spread into the ink pad without some help. The ink is a permanent and thick ink so it is a bit differnt than re-inking a regular ink pad. Hope this helps.

    What is the sleeve you have your 6x6 DSP in?

    • @booptique6428
      @booptique6428  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Darlene- it is the 6x7” storage sleeve from Stamp N Storage. Works for 6 x6 paper as well as magnetic sheets that you can use for dies.

    Hello my ink pads are Fairly new and they are leaking pls help me x

    • @booptique6428
      @booptique6428  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Victoria, have you tried pushing the ink back into the pads? I use a plastic spoon to do this. The ink pad should look a bit lighter in color once you have done this. You can always use a paper towel to remove excess ink but I feel 'pushing' the ink back into the pad is better bang for your buck.

    One thing to try.... store new ink pads with the pad on the bottom to bring the ink into the pad and not on the surface. Thoughts?

    • @booptique6428
      @booptique6428  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Chris- interesting idea. Stampin’ Up! Came up with this upside down design specifically to have all the ink on the top of the pad-- but maybe for new pads which are super juicy, it might work to store upside down. I will do some research! Thanks for the idea!
