Thanks for the video! My 2016 Passat is stumbling at idle and I've been searching for a fix. Just ordered a VCDS cable from Rosstech and I'm going to replace plugs and coils and do a full throttle body cleaning and adaptation. Your video is really going to help getting the throttle off and back on again.
@@eviemcneil6691 no. But I know the most likely issue is that the intake valves are caked up with carbon and need to be thoroughly cleaned. I have not verified it yet but I’m slowly stacking up the funds to have it professionally walnut blasted. I ran a couple cans of Liqui Moly DIjectron injector cleaner for GDI engines and it seemed to help a little bit. I don’t notice it as much as I used to and it’s not shaking as hard either. The CEL for cylinder 3 misfires is still present though.
I have a 2004 VW beetle tdi. I pulled a code of P2108 could the throttle cleaning possible fix my problem. I also here a high pitch whistling noise when I accelerate. Thanks,
Great video, thanks! Couple of questions: 1) I've been told not to move the actual flap/valve, but it seems pretty free moving here. Am I missing something? 2) What cleaner did you use and did you soak it or spray and scrub? Was the cleaner suitable for the rubber gasket?
If you move the flap to clean it when the power is disconnected can you damage it? Do you have to recalibrate it with dignostic equipment after cleaning?
Use throttle valve cleaner or carb cleaner so never use break cleaner because any residue left will end up in your engine & could cause problems so be careful with that. Otherwise it is a good video.
I have just cleaned my 2.0 tsi TB. Your tip on putting that poxy hose back on saved me a lot of time! Took 5 minutes to reinstall. Thank you.
Thanks for watching really appreciate it

Just use engine degresser and brake cleaner
@@TEAMR4ULTVExcellent video 👍 I'm going to do it on my Jetta mk6 TDI, I just had a doubt that nothing is deprogrammed after reinstalling it?
감사해요
If you spin the egr pipe around and put it in the other way where it enters the throttle it stops it coking up by sending the crap away from the flap.
Thanks for watching really appreciate it. I'll be honest with you I have never tried that before
Great video,
Ich followed your video step by step, and cleaned my Sharan in just 1 hour
