    Dude, this is sooooooo refreshing. I had a pretty significant Twitch channel doing coding and cloud bootcamps, and right on the cusp where I could have really gone deep into this stuff and blown up, I pulled away for many of the reasons you stated. My desire to become a programmer emerged about 7-8 years ago, but due to a lack of motivation, lack of discipline in learning, and a lack of time due to my current job, I have not persevered in it until now. I came across your video channel about a month ago and watched many of your videos related to programming advice and motivation for learning. Proudly, I can say that since then, I have actively started learning and devoted every second of my free time to learning. I have already created about 15 projects and I continue to learn until I gather enough knowledge and find a job as a front-end or full-stack programmer. Thank you for your honest advice, and I hope you won't stop recording. Even if it's occasional, I believe your words can change people's careers.

    This is your channel, you decide where you want to take it. Make a good decision and stand behind it and you'll have an audience. The problem with making Money and Business is that most people fail at it, and that's why it consumes their lives. If you do it well, it's supposed to free you and grant you time and comfort. But that is a skill you must learn either by trial and error or by studying business deeply and being very strategic about it. Good luck with everything, I will remain a subscriber.

    Thank you for being honest. Like you say, life happens and we change. Our needs and wants change depending on what's going on in our lives so, I get it. I'm still grieving about changing careers because I love being a musician but at this stage of my life, I need financial stability so that's why I'm turning to coding (it's sooo damn hard!). I'm sure I'll have different needs in 2, in 5, or 10 years, we just have to be clear on what we want and go for it. It's nice to hear you because I can relate, maybe I won't be getting on stage to sing for a while but I can be patient like you and with a stable job support my family and my music. If you make a decision with your heart you'll never regret it :) I wish you the best of lucks Dorian.

    I can relate to a lot of stuff you're saying, and thanks for making this video! I've come to some similar realizations regarding work and entrepreneurship. I used to chase the dream of starting my own business, even the TH-cam channel is part of that path, but as I started focusing on it more, I realized that it's a similar kind of rat race to the corporate one, only your employee is the Algorithm.
    However, I still quit my job, though not with the idea of becoming a TH-camr, but to try and find a my own passion and create myself a purpose. And I'll do TH-cam and any other educational stuff only when I feel like it, i.e. have inspiration and ideas. I feel like discovering what I like doing is the most important thing at this point for me - I've got no real obligations like kids or mortgages.
    In the corporate world, I couldn't stand the obligations to constantly report on what I'm doing, to work on stuff that I believed were mostly meaningless and having somebody else control/own my time. I don't think there exists a workplace where none of these aspects exists, but I hope that I can find something outside of the corporate world. Good luck with your new job though.

    Thanks for your honesty 🙏 I feel like this is a side to content creation that people don't see. I feel like working a normal job is surprisingly less stressful than content creation. It's nice to see this perspective. I've been going back and forth on what my goals are for content and hearing these perspectives from full time creators in the tech space is really refreshing. Thanks a ton for your transparency in the space!!

    You helped me become a developer because you are inspiring and I grew up in the same situation as you. Did many regrettable things and am in my 30s. It isn't easy but we got this!

    This is an extraordinary video that helps so many people around the world, you're helping to change people's life everyday. Thanks for telling us the truth. I quite my job as a medical practitioner last 2 years After almost 8 years in the field, I retired from my position as a registered nurse two years ago. Though it was not an easy choice, life is too short to spend each day dreading going to work. No amount of money can truly buy true happiness. But friends, I'm not asking you to quit your job or shut your business. Just be wise

      @brave Thomas
      I started planning for early retirement while I was still working, making about 3k a week from my investment portfolio while planning to build a new side hustle and income. Best advice : Never invest your life savings in a single asset.

      There are many investment alternatives available like real estate, exchange - traded funds (ETTs), sticks and cryptocurrency but my advice is : hire an expert to guide you through a profitable one.

    Maybe shed some light on the UX/UI space and what it’s like working in it. Share what you are learning and what you like about it.

    I like you talking about the things that go on in your life.
    Family, kids, development, life choices are the thing you can talk about from your own experience. That's what makes you authentic.
    Make videos about how UI & stuff and what's it to work for non-commercial entities.

    Haven't finished watching the video yet but wanted to comment on what you just said there
    'You turn to social media and everyone has just got more and more'
    This is so true, it distracts us from what we actually have and just makes us endlessly want more.
