  • Review of the ShanWan Q17 Mobile Game Controller for iphone and Android with Upgrade Design PHONE CASE Support Phone Game Controller.
I do not think the controller is bad but the biggest issue is that it comes up as a Playstation Dualshock controller with no way of changing that.
It has so much future potential if ShanWan fixes their issues.
    I'm giving this a 1/5
(I'ts more like 3/5 though if the fact it comes up as a PlayStation controller doesn't bother you.)

    Couple of questions:
1: I currently use a xbox bt game controller and assign the buttons inside the game. That given, will i be ok with this since it's xbox layout?
2: can't you remap the keys, like via in game or maybe an app?
Nothing wrong with the xbox controller really, just looking more for a stretchsble longer style like gamesir or some of the other popular devices.
From my experience, the ones like gamesir and backbone either don't support games I play or don't support cases. Both are a must for me.
Mainly (for now) I play cod Mobile, and Diablo immortal.
So in short I want the case support, gamesir or backbone style and bt support.
This ShanWan Q17 Mobile Game Controller is about the closest I've come to that supports everything I want.

I absolutely hear you about it being as close as possible for what we are both probably looking for lol.
You can probably remap buttons but I read some people just have some issues with certain games.
It just sucks that you pay money to even have to do this.
I don't personally do this and never would want to so I'm sorry I can't comment more on it.
I would say to check out this controller I did a review on the Arvin BT controller:
      th-cam.com/video/yaNWVwMT4wo/w-d-xo.html
I would also say honestly to get the Gamesir X2 Bluetooth version.
It's like 95% same as the Gamesir X2 Pro except the triggers are not analog....so that that might be what ruins it for you and it doesn't have the nice Xbox button.
Here is a video on the X2 Pro I did (again bluetooth version has no analog triggers):
      th-cam.com/video/kktFki2S4f0/w-d-xo.html
I just want to say I am very critical and you may not be as critical on what you are looking for.

I'm pretty strict when it comes to things.
The gamesir x2 looks really cool but....I didn't see where it was capable of using a case on the phone, at least I didn't see any reviews so far with using it with a case on the phone.
My case on my s23 ultra is a dbrand case, very nice case, best one I've ever used, very grippy. Problem is it's a very snug fit so taking the case off to use a phone controller would be rather annoying if I had to keep taking the case off.
Ill probably go with the shanwan Q17, seems the best overall for what I want in a controller. Certainly not the best, but definitely not the worst.
I wish the gamesir company would adapt to letting users use thre phones with thier cases on, without breaking the bank.
The gamevice flex works with a case, but sadly I think it's limited to specified games, and is not bt capable.
That leaves the shanwan Q17 as the only one left.
I'm glad I can't across your video though, helped me better choose and make up my mind.

@@alpha_y2k438 The gamesir x2 bluetooth version is just Bluetooth so no plugging it in it should fit most cases.
This is the one I'm talking about:
      amzn.to/3V5xDnk
It says it can fit phones up to 173mm so about 6.8 inches.
The S23 Ultra with no case should be about 5.7 inches so with your case it should fit.
(This is from top to bottom not diagonal in that case the screen is 6.8 inches but it doesn't matter only the height does)
It's also only $50 it's a great but again I have to stress there is on analog triggers so it's like the Nintendo switch joy con and pro controllers where it just clicks in which honestly doesn't matter but depends what you play a lot.
Either way you can return anything you don't like. If you ever find a better controller please let me know!

@@luminariproductreviews so I got the ShanWan controller today, tried it out for about an hour to hour and a half, and it was not bad. Plastic, yes, cheap, maybe, depends on your definition of cheap and what your comparing it to lol. I'd say it's sub par not really cheap. It's pretty solid from what I dealt with.
I tried the phone only and then with the provided adapter to charge it, even then it wasn't what I'd call flimsy. I turned it upside down and shook it fairly good and the phone stayed put.
So while plasticy and lower budget I would agree but it's very acceptable on a budget.
So that brings me to the gamesir x2. How exactly do you charge the phone if needed when playing? I haven't seen a way for that in videos.
Would it have enough room to insert a L-piece and put a cord down the side similar to on the ShanWan?
I think I'd probably like the durability of the gamesir x2 better, just would like a way to charge it if needed while playing
I'm not disappointed in the ShanWan at all, it seems solid enough and is acceptable on a budget pricing
Oh as a side note I played Diablo Immortal, cod Mobile and SNES 9x EX+ app playing legend of Zelda.
Diablo Immortal I had to readjust/reassign 1 key in total and cod Mobile I didn't have to change a thing. Both worked great once I did that no issues.
With SNES app I had to re-adjust the keys, as it was putting X as Y and Y as X, simple change of the key binds and it works very nice now.

@@alpha_y2k438 I’m buying a separate cheap android phone to play on so I don’t have to keep taking case off my phone.
