Thanks for sharing. Brilliant. Standing ovation. One of my favorite songs I used to skate to in the 80's still going strong. Whoever filmed this is brilliant. I'm curious how they did it. Someone who obviously knows how to film and skate backwards very quickly is my guess, or some kind of RC car on the floor with a Go Pro pointing behind it. Or having a Go Pro strapped to your back, but have a handheld viewfinder on a phone perhaps so you can see what's going on in the viewfinder. You're tracking and moving with them independently, but precisely. Unless you just strapped a Go Pro to your back for hours and then picked the parts that looked the best. Perhaps a bit of all of it. Never seen such amazing footage from a skating rink. Thanks for putting this together. Magical.

Miss this so much here in the uk... used always use quads(Bauer turbos) in the 90’s. But switched to inline due to playing hockey. Used to love the atmosphere. No stress, no racial tension, just great music and great people

I love skating as much as anyone...but this statement is evidence that our educational system is BROKEN! This virus has killed more people than were killed in WWII! If that's of no interest to you...ROll On!
@@Twillis600 CDC 1.35 million people die every year on roadways worldwide...and your point is? Lockdown all roads to save the 3,700 per day that die? The education system is not the problem here, it's basic arithmetic.
No reply would not be to close all the roads. My response would be to get all of the uneducated, illiterate people off of the roads, that can’t read the traffic signs, ex: 55 MPH is not equal to 85 MPH! See...it’s still a lack of education, comprehension, respect for others, inability to understand science and basic common sense!
@@Twillis600 great idea! Speaking of respect for others...while you're on lockdown...make a difference and get working on your road project proposal to save those millions of people per year...the rest of us will....live their lives, enjoying freedom, free enterprise, and continue having a blast doing it!
People are “Purging” themselves and I guess they’re enjoying it...that is until they have to get on a respirator, take up a bed from someone that was trying to do the right thing, and wearing their PPE. I think people that refuse to wear PPE, take the advice of doctors and scientists should be refused care, when they contract the virus. Reminds me of the surfers that get a leg torn off, by a shark. They are quick to say - they can’t wait to go back. I think we should let the shark finish the job the next time. Why don’t you and people of your elk, sign a waiver saying you won’t seek medical treatment when you contract the virus?

Sbecktacular, thank you for the skate recommendation -- I took a screenshot so I can look into that. The biggest problem I have is that I live in Westchester Co. north of NYC and there is nowhere close enough I can get to go in person to look into getting new skates put together. Any recommendations on that? I will try and look again -- maybe somewhere opened up. I know that United Skates in Seaford, NY (NOT a Skate USA like I first stated) reopened on Long Island -- I have to give them a call about their skate shop. Thanks again!
Robin Piller connies will help you set em up- Go on their website and look at boots, wheels, plates- When you choose a boot, you can pay a little extra and they’ll send u the boot for fitting- Once you have boot and proper fit You can order the rest- Wheels plates/plugs (Don’t get toe stops- teach yourself to skate with plugs) Bearings/etc and connies will put them together for you. Hope that helps!

@@LittleMissIssues oh wow! That's far. If you go by Georgia, I also recommend going by the Cascade in ATL. Safe travels!
Man this is just completely awesome! I’ve been watching & watching all these rink videos and I’m smiling so hard and felt I’ve not smiled like this in years. Thanks
Glad to hear it!
😊...Ditto!..💖 💃
Go ahead new generation! Super shuffle skate late 70s early 80s Fort Lauderdale, Fl. Chicago Speed Skates & Riedell Classics. We were super shuffling to Rare Earth "Get Ready."
I remember Sunstate rink in Orlando back in the 70's down the street from Colonial mall.
Every so often I take my grandkids skating and yes I can still skate. In Tampa. United Skates and Skateworld
Remember being at the arcade then this song hit and you couldn’t help but start skating 😂
I used to shuffle skate there waaaaay back in the day when it was called Universal skating center. It's also where I learned how to DJ 30 years ago. I Love that place! Cool video!
This was a GREAT presentation!!!! Love love loved it!!! KEEP it just like this and coming (old school) the BEATS..... Were EVERYTHING.......
This was my childhood!! Man I sure miss it.
This really brings back memories😢🙂. I lived in Orlando during the 90s . I was in highschool. I worked at a skating rink in Orlando. This may be the one. Joe Valle was the manager.
I keep coming back to this video again and again. Great editing, great music and great skating!
It’s nice to see young folks having a good time. Especially with everything going on in the world lately. 😀😁😁
Keep it alive! Dancing on quads is a vibe that can't die.
First style I learned, being from NW Indiana. The memories this brings back. I'm over here bopping my shoulders to the beat!! Lol
Believe it or not It does the same to me. lol
5:17 Those twins killed it! Great video, love this song!
Me in the 80s n 90s. So loved skating 💞 This music was so freeing.
Still is!!
This brings back some good memories ❤❤
Please always stay open....... we need more places that bring this kind of joy and happiness. Plus.....I love Roller- Skating
It is pouring down raining an I can't cut the grass now.
I came in the house and turn this on and now I am cleaning my kitchen going back and fourth on the floor like I am skating when I was 14 15 17 years old !!!
This damn kitchen will be spotless when I m done. Great pick you up type of music !!!!
LOL!! Great to hear.
We're coming down as soon as we can to skate here!
Everytime I watch this it gets me hype 😂
Just bought my own skates to roll with my daughter....
Had to decorate them haha
Watch this video daily for inspiration.
That is awesome! Thanks for watching.
WOW. Such great skaters !! I used to skate every Friday with my friend...now many years later..I cannot afford to break a hip. So I will just sit and enjoy the show. Good job everyone !!!
Thank you.
You can definitely see the different styles from state to state
I like astros. I go to Semoran Skateway mainly because their old school jams are on Saturday. Haven't been to Astros because theirs is on Wednesdays. I'm still learning how to shuffle skate in line with others
We did these exact same things way back in 1982. We called it Rubber Legs and The Shuffle
Rubber legs... hmmm. Where was this??
My daughter(6) and I go to one of the locations in Hillsborough. We love it. Twice a week we skate and have some fun together. She is getting really good from taking the classes. We started in October- she started lessons in November- and she was bumped up to Red class a few weeks ago. She loves it and now wants to keep going to learn artistic skating and do competitions. She can wait to get into Blue class to start learning some jumps.
Looks like my astro man! Love watching the jam skaters skate to this song one of my favorites!
The two guys in the white shirt @ 1:30 they got some good footwork on some skates. Love it ❤
I have skated at Astro. Rather long drive for me but its worth it because the floor is larger than most and very nicely maintained.
Excellent video quality.
Glad you enjoyed it
Miss this so much here in the uk... used always use quads(Bauer turbos) in the 90’s. But switched to inline due to playing hockey. Used to love the atmosphere. No stress, no racial tension, just great music and great people
I haven't even seen a skating drink in decades. Haven't been in one in over 30 years.
Video..soooooo relaxing...made my day...love that 80's house track....
This is like flashback to the 80's. Thanks for sharing! I wish I could still do some of dem moves.
Thank you. Much love
Used to go skating at the old rink off 8th ave. , Glen Burnie, Md. Sure miss those days. Loved going and was pretty good at it. Can still move on the floor. Like to do it again.
Man this makes me want to come film some jam skaters!!! Love it, great video!
Do it!!! The world needs to see them too. 😆
I grew up in north Alabama in the 70s. The Hatfield family owned a huge complex that had a drive in theater, a huge cement lake, and a skating rink. I loved those times...
6:00 nicely done girls....
Nicely done....
This never gets old
I'm in my mid 40s and used to love roller skating and 'Don't Stop the Rock' was guaranteed to be played at the roller rink.
Ty I need this. Actually y'all all are gifted. Love this
This was me back then in the 80’s all night skates 12 hours back to back! The ONLY time I felt free from my parents.. and all night skating with my BFF and my BF.. great times I know all these ROUTINES!! 💕🎶🎶❤️❤️
Just back in the rink yesterday for the first time in a while. I've been tryna teach myself this. Long love the shuffle!
Nice!!
This is my and my Boys at Astro Skate. Here in Florida.. we jammed to this and Lover Boy! The same routine! Above! Nice 💖🤘🎶🎶🎶
Awesome! Thank you!
Freestyle for life!!!!!!!!!!
The local rink I work at which is probably 2 hours away from Astro doesn't have nearly as many shuffle and jam skaters as I wished. Probably because our music is *cough* bad *cough* but myself along with 4 or 5 other coworkers and regulars always have so much fun doing this. Great skating
CA & NY watch this and say...what?!? People are actually living their lives and having a blast?!? Heck yeah we are!!!
People are
“Purging” themselves and I guess they’re enjoying it...that is until they have to get on a respirator, take up a bed from someone that was trying to do the right thing, and wearing their PPE.
The ladies in the House are Coming Thru...Get out of the Way !
Watching this video makes me want to skate...it's been almost a year 😭
Beautiful to see people having fun together.
One love! 10/10 Jyrgosaurs!
I used to shuffle skate in contests ,I was really good 20 years ago lol I miss skating! Having my rhino boots with laser plates with vanguard wheels and Hartford gold-plated bearings
I was doing this 42 years ago I'm glad you keep it up!
That's awesome!
Great song selection
They are all so beautiful!!!
I never get tired of this video!!!! I play it when out walking my many dogs especially when it's cold and raining, lifts my mood!!! I want to come skate there!!! It's in the plan! Xo
You are so kind
Aint nun better then the feeling of this song while jam skating
Loved it! Makes me want to get my 40 year old skates out and see if if they are still usable! Of course they need new wheels, a bunch of adjustments, and and a lubricant change but I have been watching roller skating videos for the last year. Can't wait to get back out there!
Get them!.. we are not gonna live forever.
Hell yeah! DO IT!
Robin Piller nah- get some NEW skates
595 boot- proline plates- aluminum insert wheels and bones Swiss bearings-
You’ll be set!😉😏
Sbecktacular, thank you for the skate recommendation -- I took a screenshot so I can look into that. The biggest problem I have is that I live in Westchester Co. north of NYC and there is nowhere close enough I can get to go in person to look into getting new skates put together. Any recommendations on that? I will try and look again -- maybe somewhere opened up. I know that United Skates in Seaford, NY (NOT a Skate USA like I first stated) reopened on Long Island -- I have to give them a call about their skate shop. Thanks again!
Robin Piller connies will help you set em up-
Go on their website and look at boots, wheels, plates-
When you choose a boot, you can pay a little extra and they’ll send u the boot for fitting-
Once you have boot and proper fit
You can order the rest-
Wheels plates/plugs
(Don’t get toe stops- teach yourself to skate with plugs)
Bearings/etc and connies will put them together for you.
Hope that helps!
You guys are moving FAST - wow - looks so fun! Keep it up
I absolutely love this, it just so makes me want to grab a set of sneaker skates to get out and join them ❤. Love these videos absolutely love them.
