It really depends on your use case. I develop VR productivity apps for now therefore I do not need them yet. In the future I am planning to make games too and for that I may need them and I am yet to try those assets. However, the devs of those 2 assets provide free demos. I highly recommend you try those demos and see if their assets provide the functionalities you are looking for before buying them.

This is a nice introduction for the very, very basics of getting the recent XR Interaction Toolkit setup and running, but do you happen to have any plans to create tutorials that actually show how to make proper use of it for developing a game? This introduction does not go over the individual components provided in the sample scenes, using them or customizing them in any way/shape/form, and is really not terribly helpful beyond getting the basics installed. As there are a _lot of parts_ to these samples, the world could really, really use a more in-depth break down of the various components and how to make proper use of them. As you've already stated, the other existing tutorials out there are all terribly out of date and I can't find any at all that dig in to the current version beyond just showing it as an overview as you've just spent an hour doing. I'm not criticizing, by any means, and I appreciate the effort you've put into this overview. I'm just hopeful that you (or someone, anyone!) will provide further information on actually making proper use of these new systems. It's really not a proper "VR Development Course" otherwise, just an installation guide. Tossing a sub your way, just in case. 😄Thanks & keep up the great work!

Both will work. Either Windows or Android. (just for the cable) But if you want to export your game as apk and install it to your headset, only android.
Yes, you can. VR Core template has all the things required just for a VR Game VR Multiplayer is the most recent template released by Unity. Its so cool but I am yet to understand how they set up all that shit together. Mixed Reality Core has everything VR Core template has but also allows you to switch your environment from Virtual (VR) to your actual room environment (AR)

Yes. But developing games for it is hard due to Sony's strict requirements.. therefore not a good choice for a beginner..

VR Headsets with non-detachable cables are trash...save your money and buy a Headset that'll actually last
