    Nice cutter/video, but I think that gage is designed to lay across the diameter of the key to get a nice square measurement,

    Am debating between "CutUp" & "Herty Gerty" . . . .
    Is there anything special about changing the cutter on the CutUp ?

    • @clksupplies
      @clksupplies  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! So A1 (the mfg of the Herty Gerty) went out of business last year so it might be very hard to find. Changing the cutter is super simple on the Cut-up, essentially you just pull the old cutter out and put in the new one!

      I’ve been searching for the Herty Gerty, but can’t seem to find one anywhere. I may go with this HPC.

      @@clksupplies,
      Does the "CutUp" use a standard end mill bit for the cutter ?

      @@kevinbacon5142 ,
      If you really want one...
      Search on Ebay & set notifications for it. They do pop in & out fairly often.

    Is it necessary to cut clockwise, or can it be cut ccw to?

      You can cut either way! -PJ

    This looks to be way easier to use over the Herty Gerty. It was a fine cutter but you had to hold the key in place while cutting as to where this one holds the key for you. Looks to cut with ease as well.

    Can U explain Exactly what the Offset key purpose is?.....as ive never heard of it before on a tubular lock....thnx

    • @clksupplies
      @clksupplies  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Marti, It's referring to the spacing. Standard spacing and Offset spacing. Meaning, the offset spacing is "offset" from the standard. I hope that helps!

  • @Subgunman

    Nice device but I would have to charge $10+ for each key to pay for it in five years time if I have a good demand for those keys!
