I’d still be going the Koenigsegg route. It’s pretty incredible what Christian Von Koenigsegg (after years of doubt he could do it) has managed to do in a Supercar/Hypercar market where one or all companies like Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Aston Martin, McLaren, Bugatti, Pagani, AMG & Gumpert have been holding court for years. Koenigsegg’s attention to detail is incredible. Swedish level detail. But what I believe has truly set Von Koenigsegg apart are his fearless innovations...not settling for anything less than what he set out to accomplish. In my opinion Koenigsegg has set the standard these past couple years for what should be expected from a car which costs millions. They’ve accomplished quite a few “firsts” for these incredible cars in recent years. First to manufacture 100% carbon fiber wheels, the first to build a car that uses a direct drive system with no gear box with the Regera, the first to build a cam-less piston engine using their “Free Valve” system. But the most incredible thing about them is they do not purchase anything to build their cars with. Everything from their engines down to a screw or latch...they manufacture absolutely everything in house. Von Koenigsegg explains that doing so leaves nothing to chance while eliminating any guess work for any possible future repairs. Each Koenigsegg is truly a work of art. That just blows me away. I cannot wait to see what lap times their track focused Jesko lays down. It’s one of the most stunning cars I’ve seen in the last 10 years.
Still a long way to go to become a legend like Ferrari. Koenigsegg is just at its begining. Those are already nice cars though... Consider there's no miracle in it. Yes it comes from a child's dream who watched a norvegian cartoon, but money and great connections was there, a lot, thanx mom and dad. Money and good connections help a lot to develop things quite fast. I reckon they made everything in their cars, I appreciate. Some other so called hypercars have engines coming from other brands: such a pity! By the way a GT2 RS MR is the reference on the Nürb, same for the Lambo svj, and those are not even hypercars.... waiting to see a Senna on the Nürb to know how fast it is, because obviously it was made for tracks. A Bugatti is nothing on a track. Hennessy, Lycan and all those cars I would never buy even as a billionar are just jokes for me. When a Koenigsegg will be something else than a drag race car, then I will consider they entered the big club. Now I still prefer a F40, a Mercedes CLK GTR and many other legendary cars over Koenigsegg. I ain't close minded, I'm waiting and really hope Koenigsegg cars will be efficient in corners someday, soon. I lived a couple of years in Scandinavia so I have affection for those countries.
