I have said this in the past.....You can pad your schedule with "easy" teams at the beginning of the season...hoping the team gets ready for the "big" guys! In the scheme of things some times it doesn't work. ECU is finding this out the hard way! This team might not be ready for the big time yet!
The scariest part of yesterday is that the unreliability of the offense was well known going into it, but you always felt that ECU would be in the game at least due to the defense (especially vs. the run); that was always the silver lining of last year's debacle, too. ...but now??!! Wow; where does the program go from here?? A midseason removal of Houston is highly unlikely for many reasons, so he's got a half season to right this foundering ship, including 3 weak remaining opponents (Temple, Tulsa and FAU.) Given last year's disaster, his generally poor body of work overall, and his $2.3M salary, Coach Houston MUST be removed unless they beat at least the poorer teams left AND the very mediocre opponent which that would lead to in a 3rd rate bowl; the fan base will undeniably, justifiably vote with their feet otherwise.
Houston I love ya dude. But You can't cut it at ECU. 6 years is long enough
Basically says the same thing each week.
Remove the word basically.... and I think you nailed it.
Pirates took a butt whipping today
Army is going to run the score up on ECU.
