hi there are new motors (the TOSEVEN DM01 and DM02) the DM01 is like a torque sensing version of the BBSHD (more powerful than the BBS02) and the DM02 is more like the TSDZ2/B so the DM01 might be interesting to check out, a torque PAS beast!
I watched your videos years ago and keep watching. I started with bafang bb01. Good motor and never had any problems but it has no torque sensor. Then i got tsdz2 48v. The ride feeling is much better. I installed osf and also better. But then it broke water damage and could not remove the stuck galvanised screws as I needed I change the blue gear. I got a new but the tsdz2B version. That lasted 6 months broke again with water damage when I cleaned and so had to buy another. I got instead a toseven dm02. It’s more water resistant and has more power and better cooling than tsdz2. They update the software and it’s easy to install. Also the display is better than tsdz2.
Your videos made me decide to buy a TSDZ2B, thanks! About the throttle, since you're only getting half the input, did you check the voltage your throttle is outputting? If you have a bench PSU you can try using it to see if higher voltages return the desired bit value. The usual voltage range for ebike throttles is 1.2v to 3.6v (some are 4.2v). Hope this helps! Thanks
I was thinking about buying a TSDZ2B motor and putting the Open source firmware on it but now I notice Tongsheng have a new motor the TSDZ8. I can't find out much about it and I dont know whether the OSF is compatible or not. Any thoughts on it?
Don’t. Instead get dm02 from toseven. It’s much better and from the designer of tsdz2 but they fixed many problems from tsdz2 like the firmware, cooling and more water proof. It also has a good display and you can configure on the display so no need for pc software. Cost is about the same as tsdz2.
Do you know how to configure the cadence on the tsdz2? Im looking to get the osf on the stock vlcd5 display and all i really want from it is to have the option to run it with unlimited cadence. I have the 48v varient, thanks.
I believe you can check the voltage between SWIM and GND pins on your speed sensor cable. If it is 5v, then it's v1 controller. If it is 0v then it's v2 controller.
Thanks for this video buddy

How is the DM02 experience?

Does anyone know where can we buy this display (860C) with OSF for delivery to the UK? Thanks
Did you find it? I'm looking to do the same
Does anyone know how to check whether or not your TSDZ2B controller is V2?

@@viveksabbani6133 cheers mate, so can a V2 controller ever be flashed do you know?
