My area just got the stuffing kicked out of us by Beryl. I hope you do not get hit nearly that hard. Fortunately summer is downtime here so the damage wasn't as bad as it could have been. For the orchard row trees - 3/8" rebar is really cheap at HD/Lowes. I like to buy the 10' lengths and cut them in half with an angle grinder but you can also buy 5' lengths. Jam those into the ground by a foot or so and tie the skinny little trees to them. The rebar is flexible but if anchored deeply it will help brace them. Good luck to you. Be safe!
My plan, at least until I return in Sept, is to be somewhere else a long ways away and hope for the best back home. The raccoons have probably already got past the electric fence so the garden is on its own. This one looks pretty minimal but in any case stay safe my friend.
Beryl destroyed my bush green beans, and drowned my zucchini. Leaves stripped right off of my chard. Hoping you fare easier with this TS. My shade cloth stayed put, but points of contact with garden frames is shredded. Since Tropical storms are mostly a rain flooding hazard, afterwards be prepared to unclog drainage near raised beds and in large pots. The winds will damage leaves and fruit laden branches.
Good luck!
Thanks!
Oh my goodness, so much work. I pray that you don’t experience any damage.
Thank you. All is well.

My goodness. Beryl was a beast. Thanks for the idea on the rebar. Happy Gardening!

I'm sorry to hear that. Storms can be brutal. Thank you for the well wishes. Hopefully, it's just a breeze on by.
@@michelleinthemeadow thx. It was awful. But we’re gardeners, you knock us down, and we get up with new plans for a fall garden!
Maybe the storm will blow the avocado/banana eating raccoons to another county….. stay safe
LOL. Well, it might be nice. 😉
