    As a little kid, I grew up right across the river from NAS and got to hear a lot of engines being tested and see a lot of P2-V's and Orions and Blue Angels. My dad served there for a time during WWII and his youngest grandson worked there for a time as a aviation stress analyst. I played guitar out there a number of times over the years. Love that place. Miss the Orions, though.

    Spent most of my life in Jax close to the base. Always loved driving by on 17 right under that approach during landings.

    It's crazy to see the place where I live, and recognize all the landmarks, as well as that look of NAS JAX, which I've been to a few times now

    Always wondered how it looked flying in. Worked out there in the early 2000s with contractors. Did several FOD walks there at the Customs hanger and main field. Used to live near I295 overpass and remember S3 Vikings whistling by on approach and was on duty working @ hospital when there was a "Blue Angels" week.

    I love both of these camera angles, the dash one is my favorite because you can see your actual approach and landing. Always enjoy watching you all fly.

    A very enjoyable video. I have worked at NAS JAX for 22 years now, but I have never seen this perspective before.Thanks for posting!

      Ha sorry. Summer break with the family and a desk job make for little flying.

    All your camera angles are perfecto. Maybe hand one to your loadmaster, for some aft cargo views?

    From an old crew chief,You guys make it look super easy. Good to know we have the very best aircrews in the world sitting in those seats. Would like to see a night low level from your perspective sometime, I see and hear it from the ground occasionally as I live near your route.

    Nice video. I always like the straight forward dash view, but whatever you can give will be fine. You guys do a great job.

    Great stuff, would like to see occasional hud display and instrument panel. If you ever make it out here to the west it would be great to see some low-level flying through the 'Jedi Transition' canyon. Thanks for the videos, we know that you are busy!

    • @ReachAviation
      @ReachAviation  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The HUD is tough. There is a very small window where your head (or the camera) needs to be to view it.

      And next Friday will be a low level upload. Not as cool as Jedi but best i can do without leaving our normal range in central Texas

      @@ReachAviation Thanks, I would rather you be safe and fly the plane than show us a HUD display ! 👍👍

    The 130J seems wholly incapable of bad landings though. Perhaps Lockheed can farm out some design modifications to Boeing engineers so they can fix the problem.

    Wish we had a quick look at all your precious cargo in the back! Great video, thank you always. Question: are you flying the same C-13- in every video? Your plane? Bells and horns and a smooth a Shark Five-Zero airliner landing!

    • @ReachAviation
      @ReachAviation  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The shark 50 videos are all from the same mission and we're the same plane but generally it's a new plane every trip

    Are you an air national guard pilot? If so, how did you come about becoming one? I am hoping to become an ang pilot as well, any advice on how to do it would be helpful, thanks.

      Im Active although there are many times I wish I had gone guard! My understanding, your best bet would be to reach out to the unit you are interested in. They can probably help guide you along.

    With all the low pitched mumbling by the crew and ATC I can't understand a word they're saying.
