A lot of smaller spenders left when 2.0 started. I tried also a season and was a no go. The only people that are staying are the ones that have spent a lot, so they have buyers remorse, and those that just like the game and don't go really for the fights. (tilers, flippers, pve guys).
@@TheRimBrakeGuy Statistically, still thousands download the game each month but I failed to see this huge influx of new players! Sadly it looks like the game attracts fewer and fewer players.
@@almostfreetoplay new players as soon as they are out of S2 the get spat out from the whales. There is zero competition possibility of 000's vs 0000s :)

@@almostfreetoplay yeah I just login to take free gems and Mathoma from red book, and do events. All the rest for me is not worth it.
Version 1.0 of the game was amazing, allowing free-to-play or low-spending players to enjoy it fully. However, Version 2.0 has become entirely pay-to-win. Only players who spend a lot of money can now enjoy the game. Medium and low spenders are still playing, but only out of habit. We love this game despite the greedy developers and their frustrating updates. 2.0 is for Mega Krakens and Mega Whales only 😢
I completely agree! How sad is the state of the game we all love(d)..
For nomal gamers either you spend by money or either by time.
But i came out to conclusion low spenders will never have 3x Mythic above R5 while some p2w have zenith at seasson 3.
And the formular is that you neeed all with golden gear and high respect. I recently bought a very expansive x9 gifts for both Dain and Beorn to reach R3. But even with both, as a bad gear ( full purple ) i get same results as a f2p player ( means loose all batles )

@@almostfreetoplay We are getting rolled over by people that simply start by opening 5000 Mathoms - this is no way fair play......when you can purchase victory - I do not understand the point when reward for winning the season is 15 mathoms and 1 flawless gear........

@@almostfreetoplay My last 200 chests pull was Envelope for King of the Dead - I was speechless. But in the end - I need at least R1 Mythic commander - yet people told me - that is Dust Bin Commander :-( My mythic R1 are Saruman (love that one - I collect real life Isengard stuff) Treebeard and King of the Dead :-/
@@Benetkabc2nd Yes, Saruman is awesome, Treebeard and King of the Dead are the 2 worst commanders on good side, they are both very situational.
Diplomacy > whales. If you can gather 3 fellowships against a full p2w fellowship you can still win. Assuming you do have some low/ medium spenders as well.
