I just got this model in ebony and it is absolutely amazing.. It feels, sounds and looks so good.. Epiphone really nailed it with this model in particular as with the new 355 model.. The finishing and attention to detail is something that will be very hard to find on the cheaper models.. They are right up there in the correct ballpark with the originals... Its great that Epiphone have released a premium quality line... I really wanted a les paul custom that was close to the real deal.. This one is all of that without the 6k price tag... At the price that these are its an absolute steel if you look at the specs and what you are getting... Oh... And that open book headstock is such a nice touch instead of the old ugly ducking "not quite at home" ones... Buy one and you will not regret it..
Just arrived at the home in Ebony and my Headstock Diamond inlay looks more Opal with a beautiful rainbow placing thru it!! It lights up!! Not a single imperfection any where.... 9 lbs+ of pure joy for the ears to hear!
groovy playing Dirk i got a 2024 Alpine Epi LP custom as close as u can get to the $5k model if feels luxurious , after 2 months of playing it . i used it on a new song by rap group Funkdoobiest . the fit and finish is outstanding. Epiphone /Gibson, excellent job Les Paul would be proud
I have 11 REAL Gibsons from various,years....and 3,Gibson Les Paul Custom...the days of dismissing Epiphone as a Second Best....or Buying an Epiphone because you dont want to take your Gibson out of the house, are OVER...I Have 2 of these NEW Inspired by Customs...both in White. ..and they BLOW my Gibsons away...no joke....the FEEL is what has been missing from Epiphones for many year's... and the,quality....now they have put BOTH TOGETHER....i cant say enough about these guitars...AND MOST importantly they are not a limited series....its my understanding they will be permanent on the Epiphones lineup....GO AND PLAY ONE....
The "Creedence Clearwater Revival - Guitar" for a great price! I´m speechless. Thank you , Epiphone! I ordered my Epi Custom 2024 on saturday. I`m so excited!!
I have this in Alpine White. And it is stunning. Gorgeous. Immaculate. I can’t put the guitar down. The looks is right. It feels right in my hands. It sounds right to my ears. And the 8.9 lbs is easier on my back - I’m 62. I have a 2012 Korean-made 3 pickup Les Paul Custom Black Beauty-now with Gibson USA 57’s- that weighs 10lbs. So, I’m getting this version for Father’s Day. Life is too short to limit myself to just 1 Black Beauty. 😂
I'm jealous, I wanted this ebony Custom, but they sold out before I could get my order in. I did, however, get the new Epiphone '59 Les Paul, and it's pretty epic.
@@Zoso981 Congrats on your new ‘59 IBGC Les Paul. Same here it’s just a matter of time. I will eventually get one. How do you like the Indian Laurel fretboard?
@mr3klax I like it, it's pretty dark. The Laurel boards never bothered me, they feel the same to me as Rosewood, and with the Mother of Pearl inlays and darker color, it looks great too.
@@Zoso981Glad it’s working for you. The Ebony LP Custom is still in back order at Sweetwater. So, I probably won’t get my order until November. In the meantime, I am enjoying the 1959 ES-355 in Ebony also from the new Inspired by Gibson Custom line.
It's not a Custom LesPaul Custom. It's nothing to do with Inspired by Gibson. It's simply an Epiphone Les Paul custom, from the Gibson Customshop Collaboration Series. Why is everyone struggling to "get" these new models? Nothing is being phased out or discounted. All current models will stay the same with the Kalamazoo headstock. Epiphone is just slaying the guitar market right now! People can poo poo these until the cows come home. Eventually, they'll have to eat thier words and admit Epiphone is on point. 5 years now, since the restructure coming out of bankruptcy. And in my opinion they've been dominating the mid tier guitar market, the likes of we've not seen, maybe ever? Every single time I've seen any of my favorite TH-camrs at Sweetwater in the guitar warehouse. The percentage of boxes in the background that say Epiphone on them, is just fuck'n ridiculous? They're every frick'n where! Killing it!
made in mexico strats are in the mid tier range slaying aswell.. Those MiM and Custom Epis are not bad at all..many owners of guitar stores and salesmen in Guitar shops say that the necks, wood and the overall feel of the Custom Epiphones is better than the current standard 50s/60s Gibsons.. Iv tried few of them in Guitar Stores they are trully good, the price it totally justified. The Luthiers over at Epiphones were directly schooled and suprevised by Gibson Customshop Luthiers while these Epiphone Customs were produced, thats why they are amazingly good..i hate to admit it tho but i have to...

Beautiful black Les Paul Custom, Dutch guitar shop, Dutch guitar player........no Jan Akkerman riffs. I feel cheated! I'm just you giving you shit of course. Awesome demo as always. Greetings from Texas!

it's extra 700 $ and its not minor at all. You get a hardshell case which in and of itself cost around 150-200 $ you get GIbson pickups another 200-250$ you get better grade ebony on the fretboard, you get real MoP on the fretboard and you get the Gibson headstock which might cost you that extra 100$
The real deal would set you back at least 5000-6000$ so that Epi is fine in my book. Only thing they should replace are the bridge posts which are still that import ones.

Pretty cool you chose Creedence for the first tune.
John Fogerty is the first one that comes to mind when I think of clean Les Paul Custom tones!

I bet those Guitar sells like hot cakes! Beautiful Guitar
I’m waiting for mine. My 3rd Epiphone Les Paul Custom.
Only change I would make is I would replace the kidney style tuning pegs with the tulip style, as I think that looks "right" on the LP Custom.
With locking tuners? What brand? I’m also thinking along the same line.

A little disappointed this model didn't get the Gibson, style abr-1 bridge. Still, it's a beautiful guitar.

Legendary Child - Aerosmith
I OWN 1 .. GREAT AXE ..
Thats headstock 😘
So basically you pay an extra $2000 for the Gibson headstock.
It makes very little sense to buy a gibson studio when these exist.
Dude put some gain it’s not gonna hurt your fingers or anything, jeez
For the money I can think of a better guitar to buy. Id rather buy a evh Wolfgang special way better guitar for the same price $1299
Im gonna trade in my Gibson and buy a nice epiphone
My Gibson SG standard is absolute dog turd!!
Kinda toyish looking.
I'd rather not play that!
Racist.
The open book headstock doesn’t improve an Epiphone , it just demotes a true Gibson
Stay hurt. Other than boomer nostalgia, there's no reason to spend 6k on a custom anymore😂
