Food Storage is a must in a prepper's journey no matter what the emergency is and its at the top of my list #prepperpantry #prepardness #pantryorganization #pantrytour
Great video! I need to invest in metal shelving. I made the mistake of buying plastic shelves and you are limited on weight, mine are starting to bow. I am eating some canned goods like chili that are 2 years out of date, no problems. Some of my canned goods are more than twice as expensive as when I bought them, so no matter what I’m saving money regardless of whether things fall apart. My wife refers to our overflow as the grocery store lol. Thanks brother..
Thanks for Watching much appreciated and yes the plastic shelves do end up bowing and I don't worry about expiration date either and yes you have beat Inflation for sure as we have! They definitely do like their own grocery stores lol thank you for the comment
New to channel. Great video and I see how you stack your hams . Good idea I’m change mine. Thanks and I have my husband office as my pantry. Once my son moves soon, I’m going have his room for my storage. Yeah people think I’m crazy too but oh well.
Nice organization. If it were me, I’d take 2 racks and make one, all the way to the ceiling. You’d have more room to put your non-food preps on the shelves and off the floor. Thanks for sharing ❤
I made this video a while back that may help check it out because there are alot of folks that aren't on the same page but I am really glad to hear you are looking after the both of you good job! @@icantfindnonameforme i made this video to show folks that just because something expires doesn't mean it's gone bad here is the link if you would like to check it out th-cam.com/video/JpXnhNbdPRQ/w-d-xo.htmlsi=gIn3vaLbNXsfGlzh I appreciate your comment it helps others here in their journey Thank you!
We buy what we use and keep track of all expiration dates and "use by dates (understanding that the use by date is NOT an expiration date). When we get close to those dates we make meals from those products and freeze them and if we have "too" many to do that we donate the items to our local food banks. We spread out where we donate to so as not to have people think we have a lot of food and are preppers we are not simply raised by parents who went through the Great Depression, WWII, etc., and were taught to have extras just in case.
That is great advice!! Having extra is not a bad thing and it can be a big advantage to help others as you do while looking out for yourself first. I do like the idea of spreading out your donations like you do , very smart indeed! Thank you for the comment
I would like to ask if I can use your comment in a new video? I will credit you in the video because I feel very strongly about what you were talking about Please let me know Thank you Tad

I have used expired medications for my whole life. My dad was a dr, very ahead of his time, and he said it will only get weaker. Exceptions are insulin and nitroglycerin and epipens. However..I recently heard all 3 of of these are relatively safe if stored properly up to 4-6 months past expiration date. This is not medical advice. Do your own research. Patriot Nurse has great info on medications.
Active ingredients in medication loses its effectiveness over time and at about 4 years after expiration date your just taking a placebo. THATS JUST SCIENCE😂

It's nice your both on the same page. I have to hide mine in boxes under furniture. Makes it impossible to rotate..

Patriot Nurse has great info on medications.
There was a study done that says most meds are good up to 15 years after expiration
Active ingredients in medication loses its effectiveness over time and at about 4 years after expiration date your just taking a placebo. THATS JUST SCIENCE😂

We had to sacrifice lol but we made it work I wish I had more space too but we have to work with what we have
When vacuum sealing jars do you need to put moisture packets in them???
Yes we do absolutely we use 300 cc in each
I wonder if you are able to freeze dry wet cat and dog food.
Probably not because of the fat content
How many years have you been preparing.
Since around 1998
I have continued because I believe you are your only insurance in this crazy world and it has severed me and my family well throughout the years
