From the shanty rooftops of Kawangware, to the soaring heights of the sky. In that fleeting moment, Kairu whispered to himself, 'Mama, I made it'-a tribute to dreams realized and struggles conquered.
i really love this video especially as someone who has been in Army Aviation for almost 20 years and also have a ton of hours in GA specifically on the 172-M. I'd like to point out that you are off to a great start in aviation. Allow me to point out a couple of things that may be as a result of video editing and so I may be totally wrong and if so I apologize. First, pilots live and die by checklists. Especially the preflight. Even if I have done it hundreds of times, I still grab it at the end of a preflight and go through checking if I missed anything. Your preflight seemed rushed even though I could tell you have done it many times and were safely doing it. If its video editing I apologize. Fly the plane all the way to the "mags off". Landing is very critical. save the chatter that is not related to your landing procedure e.g. who plants a tree at the approach end of the runway for later. I totally loved the stop in Nanyuki and especially the crazy chatter with other VFR pilots on the radio. I can't wait to come fly in Kenya.
The fuel seeps into the tarmac, separating the bitumen from the aggregates, which ultimately causes crumbling and shortening of the lifespan of the tarmac. This is so because asphalt cement, the binder in asphalt surfaces (tarmac), is a heavy petroleum product. The material can be easily dissolved and diluted when exposed to lighter grades of petroleum oil.
Good job Kairo you're an ideal role model to the young generation, show them they can still make it in Kenya fair and square, you don't have to be a politician, influencer/socialite or crook👏
You just can make this up yaani flying to Nanyuki, having lunch there and then flying back to Nairobi. After all of that you're flying to Tokyo in the evening kudos Khalif kairo
🔥🧨 The science behind mafuta kuspoil tarmac is that. Tarmac is petrol based product so it dissolves when exposed to oil. Hio inacause tarmac to disintegrate so the aggregates (like gravel and sand) no longer have a binding agent, so inacause some holes to apprear in the driveway. Besides, oil can stain and lead to discolouration in the driveway. Nice Skytrips KK.
You won a new follow just because you know how to fly and drive perfectly 🙂🙂..am loving how systematic ur explaining every detail..now I fell like I can to fly😂
Dope content Kairo think you are the only dude in Kenya doing it. In Kenya there has been like mystery in aviation stuff and by you documenting it defies this boomer's thing.
Respect. Got my PPL like 7 yrs ago but didn't fly after. Planning to renew...si nikutafute when i do so kaka. I know i can't log in the hours but for experience si utakuwa umeokolea.
proud of you Khalif.I have heard aviation stories from Mkurugenzi but Khalif does it in reality in person. Good to have one of our own on ground and in the air. Flying is one of the best when one is blessed to experience whether as a passenger or as a pilot.
We need more aviation content in this country. Thank you for getting into this space. Please be easy on those swift camera moves nilijipata nikijishikilia kwa kiti a few times. I'm looking forward to more.
Real flyers always carry a jeppessen course plotter and on regular routes take time to map out crash landing spaces like roads and school football grounds. Taught by the late capt.mungata!btw hapo ndakaini utakutana na mzee Gilbert kibe Kwa majani farm yake mkunywe (ndubia)
Nice one, except the camera changing directions and target too fast. Turning from 0 degrees to 180 degrees is very straining on the eye of viewer of video. And congratulations for being the first Kenyan pilot to give a flight vlog personally. 👏👏👏
Next time talk bout turbulence... fuel prices like jet A1 ....cost of maintenance for the Cessna...how much it cost to have a plane on Wilson and prices of a session on pilot training.... finally talk about flying hours and commercialisation from ppl
na nilisema i want to become i pilot class one kumbe some actually meant it 🙄🙄🙄🙄 i blame my parents 😌😌😌😌shule tulianzia smh!!! foundation matters 😂😂 mutu ameomoka class yetu ako na zabe ya muturaa our number one big up mboka ni mboka uko tu sawa wagwan 😅😅 na ufungue another one you grow more
😊😊 you inspire me alot..what I keep on wondering is why you aren't a SUV person 🤔 you like hunging around with "Tududu tukona muscles" well we all know what a V 8 or Lexus entails😂
Khalif you're just oustanding, seeing you flying was just captivating, well when i grow up i would like to be Khalif Kairo, from business to flying and you mentioned dirtbikes, viva big guy, way to go
Well explained. If you have greased hands, or hands that touched putty (used to fix glasses on windows (all these are heavier petroleum products). They can be easily dissolved by lighter petroleum oils like turpentine, craft fuels, kerosene. They wl break into small pieces and finally lose their cohesion.Damage then occurs
good one, behind your efforts always ...constructive criticism kidogo ..keep your cockpit sterile during critical phases.. "who plants a tree where? @30:55....."
Nimewatch just Incase I am in my dream land and it happens I come cross such aircraft I won't hesitate on taking off 🛫 with the skills I have a queried...🤭🤗😂
You did well with your flight na captain pia and thanks for sharing this video. I love your guys calling over "kaaairoo" kawaida ya maboyz wetu. New sub.

Sounds like a script kwa movie. But its nice to see a young person like him accomplishing soo much. He is an inspiration to many young men.

I fly the Cessna 172M in the U.S. Looks like a 172 Mike or November model. Can't wait to come home and get my Kenyan PPL.
I am planning to study aviation in the US.
First time I am seeing this, I didn't know you have a TH-cam Channel. Keep up the good work Kairo.
Me too
The confidence the Captain has to moisturize his lips at such height above ground level is astonishing😂😂
I can only pee
Ok , is only me who thought you had missed the runway? ... Amazing stuff
I also thought he missed the runway in Nanyuki. 😂😂😂😂Good thing he explained the runway is under construction and so he had to land on the taxiway.

the fuel damages the binder in the asphalt and when the plane or the vehicles move over it, it causes abrasions... inaanza kupata potholes.
a very inciteful video kudos Mr Kairo keep up the good work
