Refrigerator Water Filters: Do they work? (new refrigerator any better?)

We use a Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) meter and two Single Blind Taste Tests to examine factors related to home water filtration. 1. Do refrigerator water filters work? 2. How does home Reverse Osmosis (RO) filtered water taste compared to bottled water, refrigerator carbon water filters, and regular tap water? 3. Is my water safe? 4. Does my water taste good? 5. How to community reservoir levels impact TDS and taste results?
