I think the real reason why beginner's hold on to the steering wheel while turning completely is because they believe that the steering wheel will reset back to center immediately. So i think the trick is to teach new learners that the car will only re-center itself at the speed of which the car is traveling. Thus the slower the car is moving the slower the steering wheel will move and that'll help them realize that they can remove their hand for a second and reposition them on the steering wheel so they won't have to cross there arms like that 😅.
As long as it isn't and old Citroën with self-centering hydraulic power steering (search for DIRAVI) Those center themselves even when stationary. Just as a historical tidbit.
isnt this the guy that was "palming" the steering wheel, he doesnt have proper control of the vehicle, hands or feet. you drive the car, the car doesn't drive you
First of all, holy crap your roads in the residential area are way smaller than ours in canada. It can only fit one car which i don't understand how this would work.. second, compared to my driving instructor, you sound great. She was angry a lot and had unprofessional behaviors. To be fair it did give me discipline though
We have enough space for cars to park on either side of the road and one car to drive through, if we come to a meeting situation depending on what spaces are available one car will have to pull in to their left to let the other pass before continuing
@@MrFernandoJones That is why forward planning is so important, throughout the road there are dropped kerbs for driveways that you can pull into. If for whatever reason there are no spaces ahead you may have to reverse to the nearest available space behind you
As far as I know that is allowed in the UK. So if people are driving in one direction and see a free space on the opposite side they will do this instead of turning around. Where I live, you're not allowed to park this way, i.e. you're only allowed to park in the direction of travel on that side.
I just don’t get why people are so afraid these days to tell someone what they did wrong when it comes to driving, he cross his hands 😮he didn’t signal,😮he didn’t really look over his shoulder for more than about half a second quite frankly if he’s doing stuff wrong it should be pointed out to him and not just sort of said in a motherly oh it don’t really matter, honey sweetheart kind of tone. Younger generation are never gonna learn properly if they’re wrapped up in Cotton wall every minute. It’s not an online game where you can just press the reset button and the only reason why I say this is because when you see a lot of young drivers these days steering a car the amount of effort they put into it is exactly the same as if they were holding a hand console or their phone or on an electronically controlled steering wheel unfortunately cars don’t work like that The more you wanna go round the corner or make the car Turn the more you have to turn the wheel. I just find it shocking knowing that they think that they can put minimum effort in and get maximum results out just like on their phones🤔
The hands were slightly terrifying, did he think the wheel would fly away if he took a hand off it?😂
Not sure, but yes the steering was terrifying😬😬
Maybe he thought he would fail if he took his hand off cuz they usually tell you keep both hands on the wheel at 10 and 2 🤷♀️
😂😂😂
When I was a first time driver I was scared of that happening so I wouldn't be surprised if he thought so as well 😅
Very encouraging instructor. Cool and calm, how I dont know given the state of other cars and drivers. Strong woman, good woman.
Turning the wheel like some Hollywood car movie.
Ehhhhh, think HE hadn't SIGNAL but GOOD..😊💜
i think he meant it in a "oh, yeah... i was supposed to do that"

Why did I brace for impact thinking the front was gonna hit that black car 😭😭
😂😂same! I was scared for him

The way he came out was terrifying
What is his hair?
pardon me but how i can take a learning course?
i love to imagine her watching the average american driving because people just pull out all day without even looking 😂
oh no that sounds stressful 😣😭
Aman : I can now take my wife & my brother has asked me to take him out on lessons, who is responsible for getting the learner driver insurance?
Next week is my test 😮😮😮
Exciting!! good luck 😊
Stay calm and you'll be fine, good luck though yeah ❤
Use 1 hand it's easy
we don't want to encourage that 😅 both hands for steering unless you need to change gears
@ClearviewDriving 😂😂 👍
Signal really necessary if it benefits noone?
in this case it was because he had forgotten not because he had already assessed the road for vehicles/pedestrians and decided it wasn't necessary
It wasn't nice, I smacked the instructor pedals I don't have

@ what if you didn't have any space to pull into and there where multiple vehicles in front of you? Does this happen often?

Wtf was that turn😢
Why tf are people parked facing both ways

Did not need to signal as no one behind. Pupils need to learn this so they are actually observing rather than putting a signal on out of habit.
There is no reason not to signal
No need to signal if nobody’s behind him
Well you should make it a habbit
Thats a slippery slope I bet a lot of people who make turns and don't signal that I see out while driving started by saying thks.
I'm starting to feel like you live in this car and never are allowed to get out 😂
Nature of the job, gotta do a lot of lessons and a lot of mock tests😅😂
