    I appreciate the fact you reviewed a base level trim of the CT5. One that real world buyers would actually sign paperwork for instead of reviewing an 80K lot princess trim level that only journalists at Car & Driver would be concerned with I'm turning in a leased Buick GS this summer and thinking of getting this exact CT5, although Im wanting a moonroof with it. Wish me luck!

      Good luck, and that should be a great replacement! I LOVED how the GS drove and handled on the streets and the CT5 has a pretty similar drive in terms of sportiness.

    definitely want this car. Cadillac has done a good job on their new models. I just don't like how the designed the monitor. I prefer it to be in the dash more then to look like they just stuck it on there.

    This car was a rental after my 330i had an accident.. pros.. very luxury.. long wheel base smooth ride.. 10 speed transmission works well low turbo lag.. cons.. slow compared to similar in class but still can accelerate well for all practical highway purposes... iPhone can’t connect to CarPlay wirelessly (wire only) handling def tend to understeer

    I like the price on it because than you can customize it to make it look even more luxurious like adding 20 inch rims, add chrome strips to the door handle, get rid of that silver panel inside and replacement it.

    Not bad for the base model with a couple options, have you driven the outgoing CTS? That's what I have and I'm thinking of upgrading, but hows the comfort and road noise on the highway compared to the CTS? (Your videos are getting better btw)

    • @NothinButCarReviews
      @NothinButCarReviews  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I've driven every CTS models except the V in this body style. Ride quality is a little better in this model, but I thought the outgoing CTS drove pretty well anyway. Back seat is pretty much the same, except when I sit back there, my head doesn't rub against the headliner anymore. :) In all honesty, I think the new CT5s drive better, but I've only driven the 2.0T. If you're thinking of upgrading though, there are definitely improvements. And thank you, I appreciate that.

    • @NothinButCarReviews
      @NothinButCarReviews  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      And noise level is pretty good in the cabin. Engine noise and exhaust are interesting to say the least. I would go drive one and let me know what you think.

    Pretty nice for the price. Would be better if it didn't have an over-stressed cheese box engine. I would not trust GM to produce a high compression turbo 2.0 liter. Even Honda is having trouble delivering an engine of this type. The Passport I bought last month has all these features and much more, for about 10% less cost, and a reliable engine as well.

    Heard if you don't change the oil on these Cadillac's 2.0T engine sooner than some of the older Cadillacs, you may have engine problems.

    After driving new Cadillacs for a number of years (some $70,000) I will again say, all broke down starting at 300 miles. After that, these vehicles lived in service many times ( ATS 16, CTS 8, Escalade 52 times). So no demo video will warn you of this. I wish any buyer good luck. You'll need it.

      @trqmj JD Power is unbiased.
      ???? You mean the rating service that put Chrysler at the top of their latest list. Go to a real rating service like Consumer Report. You will then get facts not lies from kickbacks. Oh, and if you have time, go listen to Scotty Kilmer. He does a fine job. Oh, make sure you check out Mercedes on that list. Way down on the list.

    • @johncipolletti6139
      @johncipolletti6139 ปีที่แล้ว

      @trqmj I owned Dodges for years. However, go look at Consumer Report on Chrysler reliability. Please don't feel too bad, their Jeep brand stinks as well. Hey, go to a library and look up Consumer Report all the way back to the 1970s. Junk....junk....junk! Don't feel bad here. I was stupid enough to not only to drive Dodges but I also drove Cadillacs. Note, what's worse then a Jeep....an Escalade!

    • @SpockvsMcCoy
      @SpockvsMcCoy 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      That was more of an issue decades ago when motor oils were of poorer quality and the moving components were not as precisely machined as today. Ten years ago I bought a new car with only 42 miles. I drove almost 200 miles home from that dealership. The motor oil was changed about 100 miles later. Then I changed the motor oil again after 1000 more miles before following a more regular schedule. If the motor has 2 oil changes in the first 1500 miles then wear is minimal.
