In almost all scenes, FM looks like a downgrade, regardless of what tech was used. Even the crowds, which are clearly an upgrade when seen up close due to them using 3d models, could be argued look worse from the distance you'd normally see them at.
However, you should use the same time of day for your comparison. Putting one car in the shade in a scene and leaving the other in the middle of the sun makes a big difference visually
FM 2023 looks more natural but it definitely lacks polygons overall. I really believe it has to do with the time in upgrading their gaming engine for new Fable from Playground games. FM2023 has released to PC (too many hardware variations) + Xbox, whereas GT only to PlayStation 4/5 with only resolution and fps difference mostly. Anyway, the physics in new forza is huge step up to admire
I own one of these in real life, as seen in my bubble image to rhe left. I can say exactly everything wrong with this car. Front grille, eye lkds, front and rear bumper "vents," window pillars, and rear spoiler and lower deck of the spoiler should all be a pitch black glossy look. FM made it grayish brown. If you zoom in, it has a cement-like texture. The rear lip, front lip and side skirts are not real carbon fiber. Its just a black plastic that has a weave-like texture on top. No clear coat. It's rough to the touch. FM gave it real wet carbon fiber instead. There is a red pin stripe that goes all around each lip and side skirt. FM gave the side skirts a white pin stripe. There is also white in the dront wheel wells in Forza Motorsport. All the plastic in there should be black. The paint colors are off. Mine is blue in real life, and looks nothing like the blue in FM. E en for Championship White, it should at leaat have a creamy look to the white. Instead, it always looks like a normal white. Nitpicking this one, but the muffler tips look too chromed out and like plastic. The inside of the tips are black. Not black from carbon build up. Its just the color they are drom the factory. Somwthing about the proportions in the cockpit feels off when i drive it in the game. Don't know how to describe it. It just looks strange. For some reason, screens also look too gray insteas of the dark glossy black they should be. The back of the front seats are not real carbon fiber either, nor is it clear coated. Yet Forza made it real carbon fiber.
I do feel FM is a step back from 6 in terms of graphics especially as the cars had moving parts and the wet looked and played alot better. I do prefer the way the MP is done. That said there is not alot of different between the two when they both look their best. I don't know if FM was not finished or they lost track of what they were trying to do. Updates have definitely improved the game since release but still has away to go. That said I'm still playing it as I do enjoy a few races to chill out with at night on my Ally.
In reality, not a downgrade from Console since XBOX SERIES X is powerful. PC players will always complain. The fault here is Turn 10 not the console. Even Assetto Corsa Competizione looks awesome in Console even. Turn 10 is the reason why FM2023 become worse
You polygon pixilated graphic horses! 😂 FM 6 was better than FM7, all time favorite FM4. FM is the best driving experience and the weather system is awesome.
It took them 7 years to make something worse
I dont play fm7 anymore since new release

I refunded the new FM and reinstalled FM7. Thats how bad it is
Are there still many players?
@@-summum-artiste6221 the online services is ended. But i still play offline races and practice sessions
No wonder they removed Forza 7 from the store. They know people would rather play that over this new trash!

Naming it just "Forza Motorsport" is so stupid 🙄
I didn't even know it was a new Forza Game at first

Forza motorsport is able to replicate natural lighting a lot better than 7, which can make things look softer
console players want to play as well, hence why so many games purposely donwgrade in order for pc players not to be in advantage lol

The rain hardly affects the behavior of vehicles in FM
crowd looks dead in motorsport 7, crowd looks alive in motorsport
Bro lmao just play gt7
