So, I'm glad you're doing this, It's always fun to watch a N00B play Minecraft, one thing that I really think you should think about is that Combat has changed, so, try and figure it out. It is why that sheep took so long to die.
It's nice to see someone around my age who used to watch the same youtubers that I did. I got a top for you that's always been relevant: Since there is a limited amount of hostile mobs that can spawn at any one time, mobs spawning on the surface at night means it's safer to mine at night. That means it's worth digging a tunnel down at night time instead of waiting in the dark. Of course, once you get a bed this point is less relevant, but you never in fact have to idle in the early game.
OMG the Nerd3 reference on how to not suck at minecraft! Yes! literally where i learned how to build better. so happy hearing you name all these amazing older YTbers like Dan and the Yogscast edit: Nerd3 is still going strong!
Minecraft tips: the bonus chest is a chest that spawns with you it is a single chest surrounded by torches it contain food and even tools and wood sometime if you're lucky you will get stone tools. Hope this helps you.

@@KieKey I think I got used to a lot of stuff very quickly and I was playing with friends so it was fun. I did a bunch of reading through stuff as catchup so I was actually more knowledgeable about the new stuff in the Nether than my friends who had been playing for years.
This was me about a year ago. I hadn't played in FOREVER...came back for the caves and cliffs update and holy crap I had a blast. I'm a little burned out again, lost my world recently (new hardware, couldn't salvage my world save)
I was an adult when minecrwft was just demo. Played it a little in 2013 (little one born) and then i bought 2 copies of it 2021 (one for me one for the little one). Wonderful time and well worth thr money.

The last version I played on WAS 1.6.3 (the horse update, I remember horses being a THING). All the files would be on a computer that I sold at around mid 2018. So I do not have any save files unfortunately :(

But I also play survival on flat world, I make an house out of dirt and door made out of wool. But in front of it i make holes that similar to chess pattern, so the mobs cant chase me once i was near my house lol.. And the problem is... I can't remember what year I stopped play it. But the version was 1.4.5

@@KieKey actually while I’m here You can also use old wooden tools as fuel as well as combine semi broken tools and armour of the same material to fix them if you didn’t know :) slightly easier than using an anvil to repair
Well he wasn't wrong about the logs, I know I usually try to find a village pretty early on for easy resources. Even then though will still cut down a tree unless I physically see it when I spawn in.

You can also use old wooden tools as fuel as well as combine semi broken tools and armour of the same material to fix them if you didn’t know :) slightly easier than using an anvil to repair

Well he wasn't wrong about the logs, I know I usually try to find a village pretty early on for easy resources. Even then though will still cut down a tree unless I physically see it when I spawn in.
