Yes, the DeWalt is a much better saw. It has all adjustments closer to the operator, and the double parallel link design for less vibration. A King scroll saw probably beats it, but they're a smaller brand without DeWalt's distribution. That said, the Wen is not a bad saw and should be on this list, probably lower than the Jet which is a clone of the King saw.

Honestly I bought the Harbor Freight Scroll Saw just to see if I would like Scrolling, and while I enjoyed the actual craft, I HATED the blade changing. The blade changing took so long and it was EXACTLY like the WEN. I decided to take the HF one back and I am looking at getting a used Dewalt for $200. I also found a Porter Cable one that looks nice.

I have been scroll sawing for close to 50 years the saws you reviewed are decent saws but for me there’s nothing as good as a parallel arm Scrollsaw such as RBI or Hegner my 1983 Poly Max 3 is still going I have spent less than $100 In repairs I had to try The DeWalt 788 great saw cuts good but in a years work in was in need of a overhaul I enjoy the video but honestly the New Era scroll saws just don’t hold up for the long haul
Thanks for the reviews I just had to tell my thoughts

SEVEN best scroll saws? Out of how many? And there are no comparison tables- are we supposed to remember all that data? A choice of three different saws at different price points would be so much more useful.

Wen LL2156. That's what I'm (eventually) buying. Not all saws are the same. Pinned blades go on the low end saws. High end is Pegas or Excalibur.

Have a good look at the Skil, Ryobi, Shop Fox and Wen. The are all basically the same scroll saw with a different paint job. Some have extras like a light, different motor etc. The castings are all basically the same and all made in China. There are many the same by brands not mentioned here . Buyer beware !

Wen’sblade changing is barbaric, compared to the dewalts and dewalts blade holders are way sturdier
