- Abu Dhabi has announced the freelancer license for skilled workers. Any UAE resident can apply for freelancer license with the cost AED 530. This license will also allow to sponsor your family in UAE based on family sponsorship not based on Company license. All the benefits, application procedure and license categories are mentioned in the video.

hi ,thanks for the info as it was also advertised in gulf news. and what most people are willing to know the total cost of freelance visa + medical + id card+ freelance license . i remember that it for skilled people who are on visit visa also for those who have work visa.but nobody has the idea of total cost of this whole procedure. kindly share your views apart from whats already been publish in newpaper

Hi. Yes costs have increased. Just for permit is 1230 AED. Then you need Establishment card, Echannels, and all other stuff for Residency visa.

In my understanding, you must have residence visa to apply for freelancer license but for more information you can call on given number or send email to clarify this point.

Hi dear, If the required profession is not the list then you can't apply. There are 48 approved professions and you have to choose from the list. You can call on given number and clarify as well. Thanks for watching the video.

Hi dear, what I know that you should have the visa to apply for Freelancer license. I have checked with Abu Dhabi business department but they said just register first then you will get all the details. They aren’t confirming anything.
The offer with freelancer license is that you can do part time job and bring your family. The family visa charges will apply.
