Great video! Thanks a lot. I'm currently in contact with RAKEZ and SPC and the impression quite fits to what you are talking about. Was leaning towards SPC and after your video I'll definitely take that. Prices went up a bit, but they are still lower than RAKEZ and while I had to contact RAKEZ twice before they contacted me, SPC gives you 10 seconds, before the first WhatsApp message arrives. Great communication, great information and I never had the feeling they pushed me. I like them! And thanks again for your great video. We'll be office mates soon :-D

which is the best free zone for import and export in UAE
Thank you for the video, could you kindly answer the following as I am new to this:
1. Is UAE Corporate Tax applicable in the DIFC free zone or Companies registered in the DIFC are exempt from paying any corporate income tax?
2. Is unemployment insurance a legal requirement for DIFC free zone? I read the following, is this correct:
Contribution to the unemployment insurance program is currently optional for DIFC employees.
Dubai International Financial Center have clarified that employees of companies registered in these free zones are not required to register and subscribe to the unemployment insurance scheme. However, employees in these free zones can still choose to register and subscribe.

Hey Mabel, Nice breakdown. I feel sorry for your original experience and Indeed RAKEZ may not be ideal for digital Entrepreneurs and Dubai/Sharjah has much better options. But its not that RAKEZ doesn't have any value, I setup clients in RAKEZ only when they are Industrial in Nature, they want to setup a factory and need 100 employees. RAKEZ is best suited for that because RAK has a port and cheap land cost & lower rent for labor accommodation vs the industrial FreeZone in Dubai called JAFZA. Perhaps being use to dealing with Industries they (RAKEZ) are not optimized or know the language of digital Entrepreneurs.
I’m sure that’s the case, yes. What frustrated me is that I came across them via a “Women in Business” promo offer, and by the end it was nothing but awful customer service

I want to form a freezone company, and certainly I don't need to hire any people, etc. I only have concerns regarding Bank accounts opening.
Actually I will be working outside UAE, from my home country but I want all my payments in UAE.
So, that would be helpful if you can guide:
1. What's your experience/how the process looks like with business bank accounts.
2. What is an initial deposit -- or expenses to be expected to just open a business account.

Hello! I recommend you to try Wio bank. They are a new service, online only, although they will need to deliver the card in UAE I think. The set up process was easy and fast

Actually, I don't need a virtual bank as it won't support Stripe and my whole purpose to create a UAE company is to get a stripe account. I have made a calculation how much it can take to get setup a full company in UAE freezone and get a bank, and it's estimated $30k.
This is a safe route and a long run plan. Yet I am preparing for it.

It is not even 30k. It's the capital that you have to keep in the bank like $20K and then you will be able to open a bank account and it is returnable.
Otherwise annually cost could be around $2000 to $6000

Hi Mable. Very helpful video, thanks. I am going through the procces of setting up my business in UAE ( SPC) remotely, I hired an office to do that for me and consulting me. They are asking for 41 AED for 2 years license and immegration crad, change of status etc... And opening a business bank account. What do you think? Is it fair deal?

Hi it really depends but if you use the freezone I have mentioned then it is a mandatory extra fee depending on size of your team. And it’s furnished
Unfortunately you didn‘t mention the other costs like medical test, Emirates ID, etc….

Yes you do and it depends how many visa you have. I have 4 visa now so it cost me 15k

Someone told me that you can open a business and a bank account in Dubai without being a resident, is that true?
Hey I don’t think that’s true :(
As a non- resident you can only open a savings account but will not be given a check book. You can only deposit and withdraw from atm's. Other banks will ask for passport, copy of photos, documentations, letter from company or sponsor etc. Hope that helped you out a little. 💫
