Thats why songs use to be hits back in the day. It was only a select amount of songs and artist out at the time. Everybody was listening to the same songs at once. Your song was a hit if it was on 106 and park with so much music out at once its hard to keep up with.
It’s basically still the same. 60k songs don’t mean you know them or ever will run across them. I get the point you tryna make tho. It’s just extra platforms for the artist in the same big realm. 60 k artists not gettin to breakfast club and other platforms
It's not really too many rappers, it's just that the controlled media outlets prevent the talented ones from getting exposure. The ones that get exposure are in league with the media circus crap like Tekashi.
No it hasn't people just like the B.S. Ti son Domani makes good music yet nobody talks about him or his music. His son King makes trash music but he's the only one of the kids you hear about because he's always in trouble. Our society is washed not music, especially the black community. We have truly become lost.
Mannn its so dope seeing Tip age gracefully .. he on a diff frequency now .. I believe now we are just getting a chance to see who the true GOATS are because they are living legends who stood the test of time … the GOAT term is thrown around way too much and too much on young artists .. The Goats been putting in 30 years of work just getting to really show
MaaaaaN we just old n grumpy im 46 there has been some thing for everybody this year Killer Mike/Nas Gunna/Rae Shrem Boosie/SexyyRed Drake/Rod Wave. N million others. Now what needs to happen is someone needs to start a label that only drops old-school artist albums, but consistently dropping albums non stop. Beanie Sigel this week Scarface next jus a sample
All the new artists these days are carbon copies of each other, in the golden era of southern rap, late 90s, early 2000s, there was only 1 TI, only 1 mystikal, only 1 OutKast , now all of them sound and look the same
Okay I'm always for a lil white conspiracy, never against but this time... gotta disagree. White people didn't need to push technology into hiphop. Technology just moved as technology does. Then Soulja Boy pushed HipHop into technology lol

Way too many rappers out here

@@kingtarantinosisk544bit also lack any creativity all these new rappers sound the same so it is oversaturated

Being old has nothing to do with what he said. 60K songs being uploaded a day is crazy to think about
Someone needs to 📌 that comment….what do you think about the AI factor in the industry…..an AI song is up for an award

Blacks don't own their own entertainment media like they did in the 1990's so exposure to such performers is minimal today.
