When is game going to get qualifying traffic right? Been 3 years now….cars in front whether on corner or not in real life don’t impede cars on a quali lap….it only happens like 1 out of 100 times

Worst part is having to use the bloody Renault engine!! I thought I’d be a smart arse and Create a Team with the Renault engine and try to use under fueling etc to try to take advantage of its fuel efficiency. I played 1 season, every engine for both cars were broken, I had to buy a new engine for each car, I also had to buy a new ERS for both cars and a new Gearbox for one of the cars 😂😂 It absolutely crippled me financially and screwed my funding to research parts for season 2, as well as screwing my ability to bring in better staff and upgrade facilities That’s your challenge Nero! Create a Team, worst facilities, low quality drivers and staff, Renault engine and try to win the Constructors Championship as quickly as possible without tearing your hair out at all of the faults
I did the same with renault engines. I found running all practices manually with avoid kerbs always checked plus low engine setting for temps really helped. I only had to buy 1 ers each due to accidents.
@@NoDirtyVids yeah I did that, I just deliberately chose the lowest rated drivers as a challenge. Went Sophia Florsch and Nikola Tsolov and they were about as much use as tits on a fish
@52:00 ish, when you designed the 2nd underfloor (UF3) you did the design off the launch spec part (UF1) again, rather than the first updated part (UF2). Although you got gains from the full allocation of CFD/WT time you should have waited 5 days until UF2 had been manufactured, installed it to car 1 and THEN done the design for UF3 and you would have seen WAY better results.
That is not how expertise works. Once your design is done that is when you have already got your gains, manufacturing doesn't have any effect on the expertise.
I have taken what you said about the development in underfloor and rear wing from last year's game as a winning concept to reach considerable goals with strategic invenstment in resources. After evolution of your thinking, I have gone one step forward on my own by investing into sidepods at the begining of the season IF and only If the rules states we have less engine packages or the power manufacturer's resistance to thermal loads is low. Let me know what you think. =)
Hey Nero, just a question…I saw a few of yours in the past days and if I understood correctly , more time you spend on an upgrade (so less engineers) and more expertise you get…in this case you put more engineers on projects…so is the time saved more important than the expertise? Much love ❤️
Expertise gain is daily, so putting more engineers on a project does speed it up, but the daily expertise gain remains the same. Unless you really need the part or you need to speed up a project to fit in another at the end of the season speeding up projects will only be negative as you are losing out on expertise from using extra engineers.
@@NeroBax i’m new to the game, i saw your videos, but some concepts are really difficult to understand and to apply due to always different situations…but i have to say that the alpine speed run is helping a lot, just by watching you, trying to understand how you adapt things while you explain them. I've watched a few of your longer videos where you either go a few seasons or at least always go 3+ races into. And it seems what is consistent with all of them is that at least after the first season, you just get a super car and just start to win everything. Is that just the reality of the game? That you just become a speed demon with a rocket driving around the track? :P And as said, just winning everything except if the drivers get a RNG crash or something?
It's mainly because the AI was severly limited on development before the latest patch, and is still rather bad at research. The AI isn't changing the sliders when they make parts which is one of the reasons why the player can outdevelop them so quickly.
@@NeroBax Oooooh, I see, I see.. Hmm.. I've gathered that this game is kind of a "rugpull" scam almost, that they just release it and stop caring. I guess I hope that isn't the case with this one, or at least not on bigger problems like that.
So I’m early in season2 and just received the major technical changes for next season. The choices were major airflow changes or complete air flow overhaul. Either way the vote lands I’m losing 50 and 60% expertise in all areas. Should I just research everything on balanced or what are your thoughts on this?
The a.i are slowly getting better at research in each patch but right now they're still not great at researching so if you want to be more competitive with the a.i just go balanced but if you just want to create the fastest car possible, go all in on cornering
As Floof said the AI currently are doing 2 design for every 1 research project and they do everything with balanced sliders, if you want the AI to remain competitive limit yourself to 2 of the 4 slots for research. If not focus cornering on the research and go wild and you will be unbeatable in season 3.
Yo Nero what's your opinion on not starting so much ahead because losing positions will worsen the driver's mentality? Sometimes i feel like it's not worth it to do super good in qualy

Not a bad idea, having extra cooling from the sidepods with less powertrain components can definitively pay off.

Yes we will be going over that in future videos, we are going to be playing with Alpine until they're champions.
